Retired Marine Major Gen. Randolph Alles, the current U.S. Customs and Border deputy, is expected to be tapped to lead the Secret Service, according to a former law enforcement official familiar with the selection process.
Alles has served as the acting deputy commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection since Trump’s inauguration. He previously served stints as the CBP’s acting executive assistant commissioner of enterprise services and leading the department’s Air and Marine Operations.
Prior to serving in the federal government, Alles served for 35 years in the Marine Corps, retiring in 2011 with the rank of Major General.
Alles will take the reigns over from Secret Service Deputy Director William Callahan, who has led the Service since former director Joseph Clancy retired on March 4.

I certainly hope so. A good friend of my son joined the Army and is currently a Lt. in the Rangers. He did this with the specific intent of joining the Secret Service.

Well, to be fair, in the last 8 years, ALL service members “served” under BO - and most were none too happy about it - but they still fulfilled their oaths...

Obama destroyed the Secret Service. Imagine the moral if Hillary was elected. She openly hated them.
He most assuredly served under the Sink Emperor as well. My former son-in-law did as well, never said anything while he was active duty. He has had plenty to say since then.

Obama had him in DHS (CBP), as a high-level official. Why does that not bother Trump?

Your friend’s son should be a perfect candidate to be a SS agent.
Hopefully, by the time he is discharged, the SS will be turned around and do the job they are hired for.
