Rumblings
Last week, Kim Jong Un threatened to annihilate parts of the United States in what Pyongyang termed a super-mighty pre-emptive strike. Then we got a slew of reports indicating that a U.S. citizen had been detained by the North Korean government. Then, over the weekend, the Norks released a statement indicating they were preparing to sink a U.S. aircraft carrier conducting maneuvers in the region. Now, as tensions rise, everyone is waiting for the United States response. So far, weve heard nothing concrete.

We might as well formally declare war on N. Korea and get it over with.

lol. They’re gonna have to sit on each other’s laps if it’s in the oval office.
And I dont trust where their hands may go if they sit on each other’s lap, especially Linda’s...
And the idea of Feinstein sitting on someone’s lap just made me sick.

The best way to get the Dems to go is to bait them with an open bar.Or free blow in the restroom.

Does anyone know the last time the whole Senate was called in for a briefing?
I remember the Bush-era overly spastic reaction on the economy supposedly collapsing....but I don't remember this type of briefing.

There is a book by a high level North Korean deflector titled Dear Leader by Jang Jin-Sung. The book deals mostly history prior to 2000. It one of the later chapters the author makes the case for North Korean strategy as follows: North Korean NLL Strategy: 1.) Provocation. 2.) Escalation. 3.) Maintenance (of tension/hostility perpetually). Consider that strategy going forward from the time frame the book discusses, notice a pattern? January 2001: Bush Inauguration. September 11, 2001: 911. October 7, 2001: First air strike Afghanistan. December 22, 2001: Battle of Amami-Ōshima, a six-hour confrontation between the Japanese Coast Guard and an armed North Korean vessel in Japanese waters. June 29, 2002: Second Battle of Yeonpyeong, a confrontation at sea between North Korean and South Korean patrol boats along a disputed maritime boundary near Yeonpyeong Island. January 2009: Obama Inauguration. November 10, 2009: Battle of Daecheong, South Korean patrol boats fired a warning shot. In response, the North Korean boat began firing upon the South Korean ship. This resulted in a short exchange of fire between the sides. November 23, 2010: Bombardment of Yeonpyeong, an artillery engagement between the North Korean military and South Korean forces stationed on Yeonpyeong Island. January 2017: Trump Inauguration. (Provocation, none as yet.) (Escalation, none as yet.)

Nothing against PDJT but... Will this be a “Classified” meeting and are they all cleared for this? Will they have to sign a non-disclosure? After “Leaky Leahey” I’d tell them ugats frankly, because it what is supposed to be secure will be on Meet the Depressed or one of the other Sunday Coffee Clatches, take that to the bank....

Trump needs to put Congress on the carrier so they can get a close-up view. Then dare Kimchi-Un to take it out.
