I have noted that there is a small but growing business on the internet, of matching up foreign women with American men.

From what I understand, the men are seeking women who were raised in different cultures.

I guess we could ask an open question to anyone out there — if you are a woman, does it offend your sensibilities, that men would seek women from other countries, when there are so many available American women right in all of our hometowns?

Anyone is entitled to look where ever they want for a spouse, but the same question could be posed about women looking for manly foreign men.

And what’s the purpose for finding a foreign women?

Cause you can live how you want and she won’t give you any grief over it and she’ll wait on you hand and foot?

I’m no feminist and believe in traditional roles in marriage, but marriage takes work from BOTH parties. It’s not all about what women can do to make a man’s life more comfortable.

If a woman had that attitude that that’s what men were for, she’d be shredded, just like we’re seeing here on this thread.

The double standard on display here is part of the problem. Of all the comments it took until cherry’s post 166 before anyone even addressed the concept that men could be part of the reason a marriage didn’t last. If you went solely by the posts on this thread, all the men were perfect and didn’t deserve it, and all the women were psychopath gold diggers and Satan incarnate. The men are never to blame and the women always are.

Women have no business attacking a man’s manhood and the portrayal of men and women on TV is reprehensible and contributes to a lot of it.

But it takes work and sacrifice on BOTH parts and judging by the comments on this thread about why men want foreign women, what is clear is that men don’t want to work at a relationship. They just want some woman who will make herself a doormat and wait on him hand and foot so he can live as he pleases and she can’t.

And then men wonder why women leave them and they didn’t see it coming.

I have friends where the wife left him and he said that exact thing. He was blind-sided by it, said he never saw it coming, and honestly, that was a large part of the problem. He never focused outside of himself enough to realize how miserable she was. And she was no feminist either. She had very conservative views and enjoyed being a homemaker and was not the type to cheat on him.

But she finally had enough and left one day and it blew him away. I could see it coming for years. He could have too if he had really paid attention to what was going on.

I got remarried to a woman from the Philippines. She was working abroad and had been for many years. She had almost no money because she was generous to her family and put their needs first. As my wife she is modest, dedicated to our son, a good homemaker and much less argumentative than the typical American woman.

Oh yeah, her prior experience with other men was practically zero. She brought zero baggage from her past. Sadly I am divorced and cannot say the same. A woman who sleeps around is defiled. That’s from the pastor’s sermon today. The red pill guys will point to studies and say it messes up a woman’s ability to pair bond. Yet it doesn’t for men. Maybe because men compartmentalize, for better or for worse.

Anyways I am happy to have a modest woman without any prior baggage. She was in her late 30s when we met. I simply think it would be near impossible to find such a woman here: There are so few of them I suspect that the odds of such a woman liking a grumpy dude like me back are slim, lol.
