Sorry for the vanity post folks, but this show is really good...do any other Marvel fans agree?

I haven't been more captivated by a TV show than I have by this one.

Started, but decided it was meant for the binge watching bank.

The UK and OZ Come Dine with Me series are a riot. Upper Middle Bogan too. As far as US shows, Castle isn’t bad (No huge homo themes).

I tried to get interested in it but I think it was a bit too surreal for my tastes. Maybe if I were younger by 20 years...

Most tv today is geared toward a certain age and demographic group. I guess I don’t fit in it.

I have noticed one thing lately and don’t know why it took so long but almost all leading and supporting actors these days have a certain shape to their face, high cheek bones with fleshy cheeks, and a kind flat sides. I think the eyes and mouth all have to be within a certain distance from each other too. I’m figuring they have been doing this for at least two decades but probably more. It’s just that they have culled this look from schools and elsewhere so now they have a huge pool of lookalike people. I’m sure the reason is they wanted a uniform look and the way the light works with this particular style of face with the angle they have. See if you can see it too if you haven’t already. Heck; maybe I’m the last to notice.

I’ve also had it with all the gay lifestyle push that has permeated all tv shows these days. Even The Walking Dead had a male gay couple in the community and just the other night we found out an unlikely lead actor is gay (in the show). Kind of a Rock Hudson type that no one would ever suspect of being gay. I think there should be a warning like with nudity so parents can be warned of deviant sexual behavior on a regular family oriented tv show and can decide if they want their kids exposed to it. Social engineering like this a really bad thing IMHO.

It was about time they finally said “Farouk”.

I remember reading this storyline in The New Mutants comic book series in the late 80s and 90s.

It will be interesting to see how they tie in Xaiver and Moira into the storyline. And where Melanie fits in. I can only see parallels as her as the White Queen and Oliver as the White King, but in this storyline they appear to be much nicer.

Ditto here. I gave it a try because I've watched all the Marvel movies, plus I watch, and have watched Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Carter, as well as all the Marvel series on Netflix. I just couldn't get into Legion.

Lol it was obvious ;)

I like how they’re structuring this continuity with respect to the others in the previous comics; very entertaining.

Legion was odd at first, but by Chapter 3 or so I was hooked.

Note to self.

Bingewatch Iron Fist on Netflix.

Looks like it’ll be good.

(Luke Gage was nice)

Your correct with how the Hollywood stars look.....carbon copies in their faces....straight out of a plastic surgeons office.

I’ve just begun watching Netflex.....I loved Marco Polo but the sex scenes went too far for my taste....still it was outstanding acting....I was actually stunned there was such good acting as most of Hollywood younger stars today are really terrible actors...and the better ones are too demanding and not worth the expense they think they’re entitled to.

Problem with Netflex series movies are the series are so ‘engaging’ and acting so well done, and the story lines so much better it’s hard to pull away once you get into it. No wonder they call it “binge watching”!

I also watched one that had two gay guys.. almost puked when I realized where it was going so forwarded it past the moment.......didn’t add a single thing to the story line and simply was added to “condition” the public to get use to it....I won’t...it’s just entirely disgusting!

Yes, introducing gay sexual behavior in movies and tv shows is social conditioning....with the purpose of destroying families marriage as God intended. Destroy the family and you destroy a nation....and it’s people.

It is hard to mimic the astral plane. And what can be done while in it.

The New Mutants was the storyline I considered to be the best written and drawn of all of them.

I became a huge fan of the title based on the writing and Bill S’s artwork...lol I’m pushing 45 yrs old and still can’t ignore the whole era’s influence on my worldview..became a born-again Christian not long after but still dig the lore.Good storytelling is timeless.

The nice thing about watching shows and movies online is that ability to move past undesirable scenes.

I’m pushing 60 now but I, as a male, cannot ever remember a time when watching two people kiss was something I wanted to see. Now they have two guys kissing and two girls kissing. I definitely don’t want to watch any of that garbage. It’s not that it offends me when people do that in private, I literally don’t care, but I don’t want to be forced to watch it in the course of an otherwise decent show.

As time goes on I’m getting more and more PO’d about these deviant sex scenes (not the girl/boy type). Something really needs to happen to put the brakes on this and force the networks, cable included, to put nudity type warnings in big block letters at the beginning of every show that has that kind of thing in it.

Sorry to the OP for going off topic on the Legion show.

I’ve been binge watching The Iron Fist and it’s okay. No gay stuff so far that I’ve noticed. Story line is okay and the acting is okay too.

I’ve only got 2 or 3 shows in the first season left to watch and I will watch them which means ( according to me :D) that it’s worth watching. ;)

I use Kodi, the program which allows you to watch every tv and movie made, if they are stored somewhere online and available. Most are. It’s a free program that runs on just about any OS and these days you can buy a mini-computer about the size of a deck of cards to plug into your tv and wifi the free streaming videos. Yes, there is a learning curve to get to know how to get the most out of the program, but once learned you’re good to go. Another option is the Project Free TV online. It’s cumbersome with popups but if you have a computer hooked up to your tv, a script blocking addon for the browser, and a good anti-virus and adblocker, it works pretty well. It’s a game of the networks making it as hard to use as they can and the Project (and watchers) to defeat them.

Kodi: https://www.tvaddons.ag/

http://project-free-tv.li/schedule-tv/

Another one is: https://123movies.cz/ but it’s down at the time of this posting. It might have been shut down for all I know.

I highly recommend everyone use a good pay VPN service too these days for privacy and personal info protection. I use Ivacy. Between it and an anti-virus and anti-malware program on my windows machine; I’m fairly well protected from the black hats.

Looks like it’ll be good.

I've been watching half a dozen episodes of Iron Fist over the last few days, and it does indeed appear to be a really good show. Lots of twists and unexpected turns in the plots. Acting appears solid. Low emphasis on the lead's super-power, and more focus on his martial arts (like a Batman type guy). Began to get a little murky with the plot around episode 5, but then the show redeemed itself with more twists and character developments. The asian female lead is great. At first, the guy portraying the one running the Rand company (brother of the brother-sister partnership) is one-dimensional but gets more interesting after the first few episodes. I'm liking the show.

BTW; if you do happen to download and start using Kodi, be sure to install the Exodus and Zen addon’s. Both are pretty good and Zen even has a direct link to all the Marvel movies made so far. Good stuff for sure.

Living overseas as a kid all we had was comics and books to entertain ourselves (privately). No TV. So of course I’m a big superhero fan.

That’s right...the ability to move beyond the deviant sex skits are a major plus to TV watching....though they aren’t anymore real then the rest of the acting it’s just so very distasteful and uncomfortable once you’re aware the direction it’s going....The first time I realized I even said out loud...’No no no don’t go there’....I was really angry as it actually ruined an otherwise great moment and the flow of the story line. It was so unnecessary.

As for the normal sex scenes....I’m a gal so it’s uncomfortable for me to view womens breasts..I really don’t want to see that nor some guys fanny...or that a couple have come together one way or another. Some things are intended to be “private” and not flaunted on a TV screen. You can get the ‘idea’ without the visual....

Holly wood female stars are more like what would be expected in porn movies as I see it. Even their every day dress is pretty sleeze for the most part....and the guys are being filmed in gay relationships....none of which is the least interesting.

Hollywood will never put the breaks on this....the intent is to open wide the doors for anything goes..and that’s fast coming I think....like Sodom and Gomorrah....plus!

Thank you...I’m not into Marvel so much as epic type movies...Gladiators...Rome...and the period type....raised two sons so you see I’ve acquired a taste for action and such. Girly movies I never stood a chance too watch with all males in the home! Ha!

I did enjoy the Iron Man movies and Batman though....Kieth Ledger was beyond outstanding as the Joker. Both had great story lines and acting as well...put together nicely all around.

I also can enjoy sci-fi....but picky. If the acting is great and the story line i can pretty much watch anything.

Thanks for commenting...
