Cementing her role as a powerful White House influence, Ivanka Trump is working out of a West Wing office and will get access to classified information, though she is not technically serving as a government employee, according to an attorney for the first daughter.
Since President Donald Trump took office, his eldest daughter has been a visible presence in the White House, where her husband, Jared Kushner, already serves as a senior adviser. On Friday, she participated in a meeting on vocational training with the president and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Jamie Gorelick, an attorney and ethics adviser for Ivanka Trump, said Monday that the first daughter will not have an official title, but will get a West Wing office, government-issued communications devices and security clearance to access classified information. Gorelick said Ivanka Trump would follow the ethics rules that apply to government employees....

My take? Melania, is a wonderful wife, and FLOTUS and I can't wait until she chooses a cause and run with it. But frankly, she is not Nancy Reagan. Do you get the meaning of that? Nancy was Ronald's personal protector and had a 6th sense as to who was not on Ronnie's side, she read people like a book. My guess is Ivanka has got that same instinct, more so than Nancy she is a lioness, in business and is a silent but deadly like a mamma lion. She will ferret out the weasels, and she is the business ( of MAGA ) sounding board that Melania isn't.
On Gorelick? Oy Vey, unless she is a highly compensated attorney and keeps her trap shut it doesn't sit well with me either, I know all about her and her high powered hubbie, oh ya do your due diligence on him. Maybe with his legal ties and his firm they helped steer Ivanka out of rough waters. That would have been an act of grace from the other side of the isle I would not have expected, and maybe part of the many art of the deals that are going on...
Time will tell...
I am greatly troubled that Gorelick not only got a hold of Jared but also Ivanka.
And now they both have offices in the West Wing.
You can’t tell me there isn’t any other lawyer in the US that could have been hired and been more reputable.
What I have noticed is that Ivanka NEVER speaks of any of the issues that got Daddy elected the way Don Jr. or Eric do.
I remember one appearance where he spoke of making the wall”10feet taller” and, standing behind him, looked like she wanted to be far, far away. I have a feeling she’s a full on lib. How it will affect things remain to be seen. The exact same impression of her husband by the way.
I hope the internet sleuths do some further “digging” on the Kushner-Gorelick connection. It’s time.

She is a lib and people here are in denial..well not all..but a lot.
This Gorelick thing is unbelievable. How can people who railed against Gorelick and Clintons on this site suddenly think that Gorelick advising the Ivanka trust is a good thing. She is likely advising whatever Trust Jared has.
So she is going to be smack dab in the middle of all of this for the next 4 years with the two closest people to Trump in the WH.

Soros has some kind of connection to Josh Kushner through funding in one of the Venture Capital deals.

Gorelick (spit) is such a persona non grata to conservatives that I think it derserves an explanation from someone at the top. I hate to think of her lurking around the white house.

Puke. This is deeply disturbing. Commie Gorelick should not be anywhere near this administration. Why, Ivanka? This is making me extremely nervous.
Also, Gorelick knows NOTHING about ethics. Nothing.
I really got kicked in the teeth here when I brought up Ivanka giving her gaga look to Justin trudeau and showing up at that UN love fest at that Broadway Play..with Justin slapping the US over immigration with his dig...while Jared was at a Trump rally.
Sooner or later people here will see her lib leanings. Maybe this Gorelick thing will open some people’s eyes.
The entire Trump family have taken incredibly savage slings and arrows in the last two years. I will give Ivanka the benefit of the doubt, for a while anyway, because I think she is absolutely devoted to her father and presumably wants him to succeed, including reelection. I would imagine that she wants to be close to him in order to protect him from any plots to undermine him or even take him down.
Between looking out for dad and raising three young kids, she shouldn’t have any time to dabble in policy making. Hopefully.
She is getting an office in the West Wing. She is going to be policy making.
But yes, the entire family has paid a price and will continue to do so...financially and mentally.
Maybe they didn’t realize just how bad it was going to get.
This is an invitation to leaks and other nefarious deeds . Nothing good will come of this .
