Shaq, a college graduate, defended Kyrie, saying: Its true. The Earth is flat. Listen, I drive from coast to coast, and this sh*t is flat to me. You mean to tell me that China is under us? Its not. The world is flat.
One of Shaqs podcast co-hosts refuted his assertion by saying, Weve seen the Earth from satellite imagery.
Shaq replied by saying that could be manipulated. To buttress his statement, Shaq pointed to the inaccuracies taught in school, such as the theory that Christopher Columbus had discovered America.

Same way the "N" on Nebraska's football helmets stands for "knowledge".
When I first heard that one, it was a joke. Since then, reality itself has become satire.
Bingo.
Stupidity should not only be painful, but illegal - and carry a lifetime jail sentence without parole.
I heard that after the Apollo 11 moon landing, the Flat Earth Society admitted that the earth is, indeed, round—but like a disc, not like a ball.
Theoretically, they are correct. If you drive 1000 miles west, there is no curve. The Earth is flat for us. You have to get really high up to see the curvature and nobody has time for that.

Actually, no. It is very easy to see earths curvature if trees and other things aren’t in the way. The next time you take a ship ride from a city notice that as you go out to sea that you can see the tops of buildings much longer than you can see the shoreline, that is an example of the visible curvature of the earth.
Now where are those d@mn creationist rednecks????!!!!!
Shaq, like Kyrie before him, is trolling & giving everyone a case of the vapors.
Shaq has always been a big joker.
You don't have to go looking any farther than FR - there are plenty of those right here.
In my early days here, there was another poster here (Michael Rivero) who used to push the craziest hoaxes.
Part of his arguments was, "look at how many people believe me".
So, I posted a few threads to show how easy it was to pull folks in.
It is really, really easy. Examples:
“Shaq, a college graduate...”
That says everything about the worth of a college “education” today.
P.S. In the hoax threads, I used direct quotes from Rivero’s own posts...
I read 17 posts into the first one. After a couple of your posts, I was thinking you have got to be being sarcastic. Fortunately I was right.:)
I was Robroy back then. It looks like I didn’t participate in that thread.
I don’t think Shack will be bringing the potato salad to the MENSA picnic this year.
“Well the earth is flat - but with a bit of a curvature.”
Like a potato chip, which explains the curvature.
Trump says outrageous stuff and we all know what he means. When he is exaggerating or making fun of someone, we understand what he means. We take him seriously, but not literally.
And if you heard HOW Shaq was saying this, no one should take him literally at all. He was having fun. He is a fun guy to be around.
Journalists need to lighten up a little.
I know of at least one l8ng time Freeper who also believes the earth is flat. We had a huge debate about it here a couple of weeks ago.
In Shaq’s defense, he only went to LSU for his freshman and soph year. We begged him for one more year, but no.
BTW, I used to see Shaq in the CEBA building as a student when I attended LSU. I came up to his belt.
I am a little stunned that we’ve gone through 76 responses to this post...and no one has listened to the audio.
Come one folks...they guy was kidding. It was a joke. He was pretending.
Watch the next time he and Charles are on the ESPN game of the week. I guarantee he will be talking about it. And you will see he loves getting everyone’s goat up about it.
Its like trolling FR and suggesting Obama was not such a bad guy after all...Some people just get a kick out of the reactions they get from others.
