Democratic voters are sending a clear message to their elected officials in Washington: Stop Donald Trump at all costs.
A new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll of 2,070 registered voters, including 740 self-identified Democrats, shows that just 34 percent of those Democrats said they want their party’s elected officials to find ways to work with the new president. A 56-percent majority said Democrats in Congress should stick to their principles, even “if that means blocking all legislation or nominees for government posts.”
The survey, conducted Feb. 2 through Feb. 4, is instructive, as Trump and Republicans begin to plot their legislative plans on everything from repealing and replacing Obamacare to tax reform. Democrats, in the minority in both chambers, are being squeezed by their base to stop Trump’s agenda in its tracks, even if they lack the power to do so.

This poll doesn’t tell the real story. Democrats want their leaders to block ANY Republican. They wanted their leaders to block, defeat and humiliate Bush II. To a large extent, they got their wish. They wanted their leaders to block, defeat and humiliate Bush Sr. They got their wish. They want their way. They don’t want to compromise. That is what these polls consistently show through out the years.
And Politco is never wrong because they have no bias, right? Politico? Yeah, take that one to the bank. Politico? Stop! You’re killing me!
I’m not surprised, but I’ll throw this out: With the exception of the civil war, American politics was akin to aSeattle Mariners vs Angels baseball game.
Now it’s axis vs allies. It simply can’t go on like this much longer. Something will have to give.

The difference this time is the Dems lack the power to do most of the destruction and obstruction they desire.

I think Democrat leaders need to decide whether they are going to be mainstream Democrats, in other words typical liberals or are they going to be hard core fascists. The fascist element is going to be wiped out under a Trump administration so it might behoove the confused liberals to help Trump restore America to greatness and work with him on helping those less fortunate.
This is good for us as the left base is pushing their party tot he left of earth. They never learned when they lost the house, then the Senate, and then the White House.

Mainstream Democrats, the democrats of Truman or Kennedy, died out somewhere along the way. The party that supported the working man, the little guy was slowly taken over by the radicle fringe. The fact someone as racist and anti-semitic as Keith Ellison is even considered for head of the DNC shows how red-shifted Democrats have become.

They are about as useful to this country as used toilet paper. Their very existence is an affront to every American. Liars, crooks, enablers of rape, sellouts to foreign interests and all around despots.
They have earned the name “Despicable’s” and they wear daily as the UN-Americans they are.
At least the ‘rats unite in opposition without worrying about “being blamed” like the spineless GOP did under Obama.
