Starbucks says it plans to hire 10,000 refugees over five years in the 75 countries where it does business.
Chairman and CEO Howard Schultz outlined the company’s plan in a memo sent to employees Sunday in response to President Trump’s executive order banning travel from seven Muslim majority countries.
“We are living in an unprecedented time,” Schultz wrote in the memo, which listed several actions the company says it is taking to “reinforce our belief in our partners around the world.”
The refugee hiring proposal, Schultz wrote, will begin with a focus on people who have served with U.S. troops as interpreters and support personnel.
Schultz also reiterated Starbucks’ support for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, which helps undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States as children get driver’s licenses, enroll in college and secure jobs. The program was created by President Obama through an executive order in 2012....

Why would they? They’ll get welfare, food stamps, EBT, free phones, government cheese, Section 8, WIC, food banks, free lunches, meals-on-wheels, Head Start, Social Security, Medicaid, gas cards, etc., etc...

Starbucks sells poor coffee for twice as much as any place else. And if you sit at the counter, you will be surrounded by liberals. I found it hard to believe, but the best coffee, unless you make it yourself, is found at Dunkin’ Donuts. And the servers are much nicer.
Anti-American Starbucks, preference to refugees over unemployed Americans. I don’t have to boycott them since I think their coffee tastes terrible, is overpriced and so I haven’t been a Starbucks customer for many years.
But who will hire all the Gender Studies graduates now?
Is this discriminatory to other job applicants?
Starbucks doesn’t get why their profits are down, they think it’s part of the brick & mortar exodus, that as many people aren’t shopping.
And what’s truly sad is, they will never get it.

good luck … almost all Middle Eastern refugees are on welfare. This, along with extreme vetting, is a big reason why we should not admit them.
Liberals never understand that people do not have the same views as them. We are seeing their hissy fits right now.

My only regret is that I cannot boycott them since I have never used their product.
