Is there one person on the planet who didn’t see this coming? If the Chief Clown freed over 300 prisoners on Death Row, do you really think he’s going to risk living under Hillary’s treat? If so, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.

Can 0bama give Hillary a blanket pardon, even though she has not been charged with anything, or does it have to be somewhat specific?

Let the state courts indict her. The pardon won’t help there and it moves the circus out of D.C.

Can someone help me out here? Can any president pardon someone for crimes with which they have not been charged? Absolution from future prosecution? That would place the individual above the law and, once again, the King would be law. I’m doubting the president has this ability to stymie future prosecution of an individual. Self-admittedly, I could be wrong.

It’s not very secret, is it? And, the Foundation is an ongoing criminal racket. Obama can’t pardon here for future crimes, nor immunize her against civil actions for fraud, etc.

Interesting.

Hillary is a player sure, but so is Obama and so many others.

What does Obama gain pardoning Hillary? Millions in foundation money - that’s what.

...and he can’t get his hands on that unless he and Hillary appease the donors who are asking for a full accounting - so you get the drilling prohibition, the latest Israel resolution abstention and the John F’n Kerry speech.

The Pres can’t pardon in cases of impeachment - I suggest the House immediately draw up and file Articles of Impeachment on Hillary.

So if he pardons her then that is an admission on his part that he endorsed a criminal for President.

2. Federal convictions only Under the Constitution, only federal criminal convictions, such as those adjudicated in the United States District Courts, may be pardoned by the President. In addition, the President's pardon power extends to convictions adjudicated in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and military court-martial proceedings. However, the President cannot pardon a state criminal offense

3. Five-year waiting period required Under the Department's rules governing petitions for executive clemency, 28 C.F.R. §§ 1.1 et seq., an applicant must satisfy a minimum waiting period of five years before he becomes eligible to apply for a presidential pardon of his federal conviction. The waiting period, which is designed to afford the petitioner a reasonable period of time in which to demonstrate an ability to lead a responsible, productive and law-abiding life, begins on the date of the petitioner's release from confinement.

You can't pardon the Clinton Foundation, nor can you pardon all the dirtbags that donated to the Clinton Foundation from civil and criminal liability.

A lot of Hillary's crimes occurred when she was in the Senate or as a private citizen.

Many of Clinton's crimes were under state and international jurisdiction.

Good luck with a pardon.

Pardons are about convictions and sentences for a crime that has been committed. Pardons are not immunity from future prosecution. If this is done, it is invalid.

But what do they care? They do nothing but hate this country and give it the finger with their every action. Soon bammy will no longer be able to act a president, but his damage has been done. This country will feel the effects of his actions for a long time to come. What a colossal disaster it was to elect him!

Obama might be able to shield Hillary and, presumably, Bill from their criminal activities. However, the financial misdeeds do not suddenly get waived. The IRS and the various states should be able to sue them as individuals and the Clinton Foundation for illegally obtained money and for money illegally shielded from taxes. Those should be jail time offences at the state level if not the federal level. All it takes is one AG with the standing and the guts.

It doesn’t matter.

Obama will be prosecuted and that will make any pardon from him null and void.

They were just too clever.

The power to grant pardons is given to the President of the United States by Article II, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution, which states in part:

"The President ... shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment.

Guess it would have to be a Reprieve instead of a Pardon

Reprieve defined:

a. To prevent or suspend the punishment of (someone, especially a convicted criminal).

b. To prevent or suspend (a punishment)
