This 18 month long and polarizing American election has been truly surreal+absurd.
One of the truly strange effects of this election is that certain of my female friendships that had endured for decades—through good times and bad times; through career highs and career failures; through personal disappointment;through joy, happiness and the thrill of victory and personal achievement; through marriages, children, divorce, sickness and even death of loved ones or partners; basically, through life- the good, the very bad and the truly ugly—could not withstand this friggin’ election.
Good. Your $$$. Your call on who gets it after you pass. We have left leaning family members, but for them family trumps politics. (No pun intended, seriously.)

Would you really want to be a friend again with someone so shallow and disloyal they would unfriend you for such a reason?

The problem might be the long distance and internet thing. Meet someone at church, out walking their dog, at the grocery store or anywhere where you can verify they are a real live female person.
I deleted my Facebook account 2-3 months ago. Haven’t missed it. Not going to become a product for Zuckerberg to sell. All Facebook does is eventually get users in some kind of trouble.

Went to family Christmas a few days ago and before the hellos were done, we were praising Trump and badmouthing that other side. It was a great day.
I unfriended a few rabid Hillary psychopaths who were posting Soros funded Underground Demo garbage, and told them exactly why, but decided to enjoy watching one in particular,who is a lawyer ,and an assistant DA, as she made all kinds of insane and illegal statements about the Electoral College, Bannon, Trump’s family, and the utter despair of the inconsolable feminists,
She was quiet this AM about the Beast losing five votes from her total of Electoral voters who “voted their consciences”.
I look forward to her utter collapse on January 20, 2017, and the following eight years of bigly greatness.
They were never really your friends as their friendship was conditional on politics.
They have lost you, and you have gained from them going away.
