Rob covered this issue in large part yesterday while I was on the road, but as a second-day followup I wanted to highlight what could be a major - and until now, largely unrealized - problem with the administration of elections in major urban counties that vote heavily Democratic.
Michigan’s recount has obviously hit some major legal hurdles, but it’s also hit a huge administrative one: Wayne County, which votes overwhelmingly Democratic and is Michigan’s largest county, can’t seem to reconcile the hand count of ballots with what the voting machines indicated. And it’s not even close, with 59 percent of precincts showing the discrepancy.
Why not? It seems to me that that is when a recount is DEMANDED!
Pretty slick on the part of the DEMs. Michigan (and pretty much the whole country) needs the voting system updated and verifiable, starting day one of Trump's administration.
Hillary is bitting her upper lip...maybe joining up with Jill Stein wasn’t such a good idea afterall? Next she will be blaming someone - anyone ut herself for her poor choice! Trump’s fault!
I think y’all are right, if they find a discrepancy like this, the original count stands, and those boxes don’t get recounted.
Notice when they held the Brexit vote they registered every PAPER ballot in advance and there was a strict chain of custody throughout.
The press will happily report this as political chicanery to make sure that black votes aren’t counted. #BlackVotesMatter
But the Precinct should be investigated for fraud, from the voter rolls on down ASAP.

....because someone could have added ballots between election day and the recount. That is the reasoning anyway.
Other articles have been posted saying that the numbers from election night are used instead of recounting.
Have someone else check up on the Poll Workers.
Maybe to stave off ballot manipulation (inventing or disposing of)? Though this is what dems live for.
Quick, everyone put a shocked and surprised look on your faces.
It was at most a 5 vote discrepancy per precinct, and in most cases was a single vote.
It seems to me that stuffing ballot boxes dilutes the votes of all other people and is a proper topic for investigation by the voting rights division of President Trump’s DOJ.
Of course, AG Sessions might need to hire a few new, properly motivated attorneys to conduct this investigation.
So best I see this, the fraud is committed by passing the ballots through the counter two or three times in this Dem county. Who is overseeing this process? In most states there is one Repub and one Dem judge at all times for counting. Is the Repub not allowed? I believe the rest of the 49 states deserve an answer to this question.
How about if the Fed judge up there who thinks he is in charge of whether the entire state recounts or not, answers this question to the rest of America.

That guy (the cheater) used to make me so mad.
You have to hand it to Stein. She dangles the false hope of victory to get tons of money from HRC supporters, and uses the cash she doesn’t pocket to discredit HRC.
So, who is Stein working for?
