I have read the books and I have to disagree with Dr Tolkien's description. CS Lewis doesn't employ dualism in his narrative as it is made clear there is one Lord of all worlds but that this world has chosen to elevate evil. When it rises in authority, it must be put down. Certainly, there is no parallel to quelling the good. From the first book, evil is shown to be a corrupting force, not a god-like force.
Dualism would require that there is equal capacity for evil to destroy good. Not so... evil only thrives when unopposed.

IF you want a real honest life based Christian movie I’d suggest To Joey, With Love. The love story of Joey and Rory Feek and her 2 year battle with 3 cancers and losing it and the birth of her Down’s daughter at the height of their music career. In limited theaters. http://thislifeilive.com/
She died shortly after Indy turned 2 and their Gospel album was released early this year. She held her faith in GOD the whole time. Said she won either way. Hanky needed movie.

The book was very good and superior to the movie.
But the movie was so darn fun! Total crap but plenty of bloodletting! Very campy. I think the only thing in common with the movie was the title.

You must have watched a different movie.
It was ‘ok’. Bloodletting. You never saw it t. Ergo it didn’t happen.
Also what was campy? I know campy.....do t remember campy.
I lump it in with ‘After Earth’ as a mediocre effort at best.

You’re right about starship troopers. Great book. Entertaining movie. Very little connection between the two.
