Remember when Zimbabwe used to be Rhodesia?
Theres a lesson, or two, in here somewhere: No One Is Safe: Zimbabwe Threatens to Seize Farms of Party Defectors. Thats right: first they came for the white mens farms:
And the blacks didnt object because, well, they werent white. Now theyre coming for the farms of black-men-who-disagree-with-the-government-policies. Thats how it always goes.
And as pointed out by the Instapundit:
Hey, it was over a decade ago when Nick Kristof reported that Zimbabweans were nostalgic for the days of white rule:
An elderly peasant in another village, Makupila Muzamba, said that hunger today is worse than +ever before in his seven decades or so, and said: I want the white mans government to come back. Even if whites were oppressing us, we could get jobs and things were cheap compared to today.
His wife, Mugombo Mudenda, remembered that as a younger woman she used to eat meat, drink tea, use sugar and buy soap. But now she cannot even afford corn gruel. I miss the days of white rule, she said.
And things have only gotten worse since. But theyre right to be nostalgic: International opinion would never stand for a white government that treated blacks so badly. For Mugabe, though, it just yawns.
Gee, its not been even 8 full years here in America butt I think Americans are getting a little nostalgic for the days of white rule too.
Yes, Mr. Jefferson, I do. Does that make me a racist?

Too bad for them because whitey doesn’t come back.
It’s not ‘white rule’ they miss, but capitalism.
44th Rhodesia Squadron visited an air show we attended back in 78 or 79.
They flew in aboard a Vulcan bomber. Very cool.
It’s rather easy to TAKE the stuff someone else made.
It’s a whole other story to TAKE CARE of that stuff though!
Be careful what you wish for.
“Peace has come to Zimbabwe...” - Stevie Wonder
I kind of followed this back when it happened. Reckoned this would happen, took long enough...morons!
Unfortunately, Rhodesia is gone, and can’t ask “Miss me yet?”
That’s all the fault of the “human rights movement”, which is still blazing a path of destruction around the world, led by miscreants like Soros, Hillary, and Halfbright!!!!
Halfbright and Hillary are still thick as thieves (literally):

VOTE TRUMP to defeat the human rightsers, and to maintain hope!!!!
There are no successful black-governed nations.
Sad but true for Zimbabwe. A prosperous, well ordered society doesn’t have to be race centric, the governance only need be fair and diligent, with cronyism kept to a minimum. This will be our story if the wrong presidents continue to purchase the high office. Our days of booming American Prosperity will be spoken of in hallowed, mythical tones, the way some now describe the city of Atlantis.
“There are no successful black-governed nations.”
The Bahamas stands up and waves “hello”
It isn’t a place without problems but you can actually live there
Cecil Rhodes (Rhodesia) was a white supremacist to the core as are most of those we revere as "Rhodes Scholars" today.
A former student (Zimbabwean Army officer) and friend with whom I used to communicate regularly decided to speak out about the apartheid/displacement policies of Robert Mugabe. Haven’t heard from him in years... (Yes, he was black.)
Venezuela and Zimbabwe are models for the failed state that globalists want to inflict on America.
I really think that many consider an escape from the US plan. Second passports, moving assets out of the US, expat communities. We can only count on the US government to continue and ramp up its oppression if hitlery gets in.
For those of us who stay in the US if hitlery wins or 0bama stays in, secession will be the only viable alternative. But that path will mean that Americans will be on the frontline of a civil war or WW3.
There’s Botswana. It is a small country of 2MM people, and has retained a free market economy, even liberalizing its economy over time. It has retained elements of so-called white rule (i.e., they did not take away their property or status at gunpoint).
Botswana is literally the only other one.
It blows my mind that black-majority nations in the Caribbean are as poorly-run as the ones in Africa.
His wife, Mugombo Mudenda, remembered that as a younger woman she used to eat meat, drink tea, use sugar and buy soap. But now she cannot even afford corn gruel. I miss the days of white rule, she said.
Two years after Idi Amin was forced out of Uganda, I had an elderly Ugandan woman ask me, "Please, when are the British coming back?"
