"Trump" is also a verb. As a matter of fact, I expect it has been a verb far longer than Donald Trump has been a "thing."

It is also a noun. It is an abbreviation for "trumpet."

As "When the last trump sounds."

It is also used as a both noun and a verb when used as a term from card games for the card suit that has priority in order of value. The King and Queen of trumps." or "My three of trumps took that trick!" in Bridge. It is used in Bridge, Pinochle, and other card games.
