Obama will only impose martial law if it looks like Trump will win
CANADA Free Press ^ | 07/13/16 | JUDI McLeod

Government of the day continues to stoke the fires of racial division, even after the deaths of five police officers in Dallas

None should hold their breath waiting for President Barack Hussein Obama to impose martial law as a means of suspending upcoming presidential elections—at least not yet.

If Obama does impose martial law it will be a sure sign that Donald Trump has a good chance of winning the presidency. Until then, Obama’s holding martial law as his ace in the hole.

It won’t happen. How would he pull this off? He would need the help of our military, which would not be forthcoming.

Ah, yes. The old “martial law to suspend elections” bugaboo. Unfortunately for The W0n, there aren’t enough federal agents, even combined together from all agencies and meshed with the entire US military, to impose martial law on more than a few of the larger cities. All anyone has to do is look at how much manpower it took to handle Dorner, or the Tsarnaev brothers, and you can see their problem. Trying to maintain control over, say, Los Angeles, NYC, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Houston alone would strain their resources.

Sure, they could start with an on-paper martial law that just suspended the election “for the duration of the crisis” whatever that might be, but it would very quickly have to become a boots-on-the-ground martial law, because a large segment of the country wouldn’t stand for that. The US didn’t suspend elections for the Civil War, WWI, or WWII, and while the Presidents during those conflicts were nothing like the petty poseur in office today, cancelling elections over anything short of an all-out nuclear exchange on US soil would be met with derision and resistance immediately. I’m not saying they wouldn’t try it, or that they’re not considering it, but I cannot see how they could possibly expect it to have any kind of positive outcome for them.

“If Obuggery tries to impose martial law he will be swiftly removed from office by the military.”

Who? I talked about this yesterday with someone. He has purged most, if not all, of the patriotic generals from the ranks. Who exactly is left to stop him and his evil cabal? The republican members of Congress? Make me laugh! They have done nothing to stop his agenda. Bozo, Jarret et al are lawless. They have shown that they think they can do whatever they want and, IMO, they have no intention of vacating the People’s House. Seriously, if they declare martial law tomorrow who is going to stop them?

Martial Law won’t be declared until something much worse happens.

Ain’t gonna happen, the same idiots hyperventilate about elections getting suspended every four years.

The liberals said the same thing in 2008 about Bush. Nobody is declaring martial law.

“... No congressional approval required...”

Obama doesn’t care about Congressional approval...He just does what he wants and ignores Congress anyway...

I see this theme a lot, but what would be the cause of declaring martial law? In what area(s)?

Check Stephen Coonts’s latest novel, Liberty's Last Stand, which features a president by the name of Barry Soetoro. The book is scary good.

Here is one of the editorial reviews posted at Amazon:

From Publishers Weekly
President Barry Soetoro, the villain of bestseller Coonts’s provocative thriller, is due to leave office in five months when he uses a convenient terrorist attack to declare martial law, adjourn Congress, suspend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and become the dictator of the United States. He fires CIA director Jake Grafton (last seen in 2013’s Pirate Alley) and throws him in a federal detention center in West Virginia along with hundreds of conservative politicians and political commentators. Grafton's ex-CIA pal, Tommy Carmellini (also last seen in Pirate Alley), decides he's going to bust his old boss out of jail. Meanwhile, Texas secedes from the union and begins seizing U.S. military bases. Soetoro’s opponents have a long list of gripes: he's a “self-proclaimed black messiah,” “Soetorocare” is a disaster, and EPA regulations are “designed to save the climate at the expense of the working men and women of Texas.” Coonts’s excellent action scenes, which shift between Tommy's jailbreak scheme and the civil war with Texas, grind to a halt as characters stop to give fervent speeches about freedom. Those who don't care for Obama or his policies will find a lot to like. Agent: Deborah C. Grosvenor, Grosvenor Literary Agency. (June)\n

The people who believe this type of thing have not thought it through.

And the Dems said this about Bush.

The era of Obama will end with a whimper as a few hundred pardons. Obama is going to move on and get his cut of the Clinton Foundation he was promised for not throwing Hillary in jail.
