OK, finally I will give an update on my breast cancer.
Any advice/guidance appreciated regarding my specific history! Anyone who matches me would love to hear from. I'm 47 now, BTW.
*I have a history of a pulm. embolism a month after major surgery on the gut the other year, while still on birth control (they yanked me off after that).
Get well soon! Prayer offered.
The issue is all about my clot history. That is what muffs it up. Scares me. I don’t totally think I’m really worse off than the average person, getting clots, but the doctors worry and that is where the difference from “normal” non-history cancer patients comes from. But the biggest scares to me regariding treatment are clotting, and major side effects otherwise (feeling like garbage from sudden menopause, etc).
Thank you for the encouragement! I know often BC is pretty beatable, but I do get skittish seeing my sister’s path. Quite different, but still scary! All prayers are appreciated!
I had Stage 1 too. Never took Tamoxifen or anything else and I’ve been clear for 16 years.
Echoing other freepers. Cancer is a no do-overs deal. Dont get treatment from your local docs, unless your local docs are sloan kettering, johns hopkins, mayo, and the other expert centers, and each different kind of cancer has different expert centers. I am alive today with stage iv colon cancer because I’ve got away from my local providers and drive 100 miles to mayo. If i had to I’d fly. Never bet your life on anything but the best. Screw the cost, if you win you have a lifetime to pay for it.
I hope you look into a alternative medicine before making ny decision. Please Google things like Flaxseed oil and cancer , raw bitter apricot seeds and cancer and foodgrade hydrogen peroxide and cancer.
Prayers sent.
