Much has been made of the fact that if the FBI is made to look like a laughing stock agents will leak info from the probe.

Why should they? Russia, i.e. Putin, wants Hillary in the White House. Then the data they have on her is blackmail material so they can get what they want.
Once one becomes POTUS, one is automatically granted any and all clearances he or she desires and can grant or deny clearances to anyone he or she chooses. Sad but true.
There might be a person here and the in the Intel world who feels conservative. But since 1948, there hashould never been a single instance of an American Intel agency doing anything against the interests of the east coast Ivy establishment and business interests.
They absolutely do not protect anything normal Americans value.
I know all the “if we only knew” baloney. But even a cursory look today shows they are all aimed squarely at the American people, and at advancing the deep state. Period.
The FBI should leak the info pretty much the same way Clinton got away with leaking classified info.

At the very least he'd have to be deposed. And if he was in the email chain of any email containing Secret info wouldn't he have to be charged as an accessory, at the least?

Personally, other than resulting in a complete loss of faith in the system, politically, I think this isn’t a bad result. It keeps her in the race, and the issue very much alive.

There's a ton of time until the election to sort it out. OTOH, if there had been an indictment, Clinton's lawyers would probably have just enough to time to get one of their corrupt judges to throw out the case and it would be on appeal at election time. The indictment would have been a clearer message if Comney wanted to send a message but I'm not sure he has 100% free will at this point.

Yep and every investigator got a security refresher. The bulk of them would be patriotic enough to not leak anything even material about people like Clinton who want to hurt American interests.

So he did the best he could by laying out all the evidence that she was guilty and making the statement about sanctions etc for others that would do it
There will be no leaks, as it takes someone with integrity to do so and risk all. There are no such people in the FBI, IRS, DHS, CIA, NSA, DOJ etc, etc.
The only question I have is, are the people better off with no government or a corrupt one. Neither will provide justice.
