Hillary Clinton on Tuesday eviscerated Donald Trumps commitment to education, warning that he would gut education and poses as a dangerous example for Americas youth.
She criticized Trumps call to eliminate most of the Department of Education by accusing him of trying to leave out our most vulnerable students and let them fend for themselves by eliminating agency programs like Pell Grants and access to Pre-K, and lowering taxes for the wealthy instead of investing in education.
The bottom line isjust like Trump should not have his finger on the button or his hands on our economy, he should not have anything to do with our childrens education and our public schools, Clinton said to raucous applause Tuesday at the National Education Associations Representative Assembly in Washington. Clinton took the stage just as FBI Director James Comey laid out his departments investigation into her use of a private email server while at the State Department. Comey criticized Clintons team for extreme carelessness in handling her emails but said his agency was not recommending any charges against her.
There was no visible indication from her during the speech that she was aware of Comey's comments.
She told the educators that parents and educators are writing her to warn about the Trump effect, which she referred to as the rise of bullying and harassment in schools.
I wish more people thought about how Donald Trumps rants are being heard by Americas children. What will they think when he calls women pigs or talks about banning 1 million Muslims. What do our kids take away from his racist attacks from a federal judge, or when he encourages his supporters to punch protestors, she said.
You would not tolerate that kind of behavior in your classrooms, lets not tolerate if from someone trying to become president of the United States.
Clinton spoke to the gathering of 7,900 NEA delegates at the Washington, D.C., convention center, about a mile from the Capitol Building. The NEA, the largest labor union in America, endorsed Clinton last October, well before the first round of primary votes were cast.
She regularly touts her commitment to debt-free public higher education, but while she hasnt outlined a comprehensive plan for K-12 education, she regularly touts the need to make high-quality education available to every child, in every zip code, in America.
Killary shouldn’t have anything to do with a Yahoo E-Mail account.
For once, I agree with the Hildebeast. Neither should she. Neither should anyone at the federal level.
Government education should be “Gutted”.
HilLIARy is quickly trying to change the subject...
Trump wants to return education to the states.
The only thing the federal level could accomplish would be to establish a clear path to allow charter schools and school vouchers throughout the country.
After doing this, the Dept of Ed could dry up and blow away and we would have what is needed to make American Education Great Again.
Malcolm Muggeridge - As more and more money is spent on education, illiteracy is increasing. And I wouldnt be at all surprised if it didnt end up with virtually the whole revenue of the western countries being spent on education, and a condition of almost total illiteracy resulting therefrom.
Exactly!!! Eliminate Jimmah Carter’s fiasco...The Department of Education....
Yeah, like we want Hitlery to teach our kids today.
HITLERY: “hey kids, wanna lie to the FBI and get away with it by making backdoor deals? It’s cool!!”
Hillary is a TRAITOR. The only (last) words worth hearing from her, after conviction and sentencing for giving aid and comfort to the enemy, and just as she starts to drop through the trapdoor, are “But Comey said I wasn’t going to be tried for my crimes?”
Trump agrees with Hillary. Education should not be a federal undertaking.
Agreed.
FU,extremely careless, sloppy, lying, crooked Clinton. You are a liar and a criminal. Go away.
FUKillary...you demonic, fat goblin.
The best we can hope for is a massive stroke for her.We are obviously beyond the rule of law at this point.
Our children?
That FOH took the Arkansas K-12 state rankings from near the bottom to the very bottom.
Here’s a neat little test. Ask any libtard anywhere to give an example where education is fully funded, even in a model ritzy neighborhood in Vermont where libtards control everything from the school board on up. It is never enough!
