A Baltimore rapper named Tyriece Travon Watson, who went by the stage name Lor Scoota, was fatally shot in broad daylight at a busy intersection in Friday, police said. He was 23 years old.
Watson had just left a charity basketball in Baltimore game calling for "peace in the streets" when he was killed.
He was driving in his car when an unknown black male wearing a white bandana stepped into the street and opened fire, Baltimore police said. Watson was brought to a local hospital but died from his injuries.

You just shake your head after a while.
A rapper who was working for “peace in the streets” is shot to death.
Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.
But it goes to show what difficult situations we are up against in our inner cities. The feral youth gangs want violence and chaos. They will kill anyone, even somebody such as this guy, for any reason, or even no reason.
That article is in some serious need of an editor.

The Maryland accent is not a “white” thing. There is a “black” version too though nothing quite like I’ve heard south of Baltimore.

I'm thinking that he may not have demonstrated a proper "F the police, kill the pigs" attitude. Perhaps, his calls for non-violence were overly respectful of law enforcement.
The article doesn't mention who Lor Scoota wanted the peace to involve. Presumably, only calls for an end to black on black violence are acceptable in the hood.
This is truly a tragedy in the musical world, a rising star lost at 23.
Maybe Don McLean will write a song about his death.

I lasted 25 seconds.
The whole song is about dealing drugs, using drugs, guns, etc.
Just think how dead he would be if didn’t have as strict gun control as they do.
A good boy who was turning his life around, no doubt.
