MSNBC breaking news host and ex-NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams was allowed out on MSNBC’s airwaves early Friday afternoon to discuss President Obama’s visit to Hiroshima so he could resurrect a taped report that aired in 2005 on the 60th anniversary of the nuclear bomb’s dropping on the Japanese city.
In the course of discussing the event afterward, though, Williams threw some shade in the direction of the U.S. military and then-President Harry Truman by complaining that “we’re the only nation to have used them in anger” against the horrifying Axis Powers member.

Then, there was the treatment of many prisoners of war held by the Japanese. The Japanese were not very nice.
If Japan or Hitler had managed to develop the atomic bomb first, is there really any doubt they would have used it?
25 years ago I sat across the aisle from a gentleman who was on a ship awaiting orders to be part of the first invasion of mainland Japan in the summer of 1945. He and the others knew it was a suicide mission. He would start crying when the issue of not dropping the bomb was brought up since the bomb saved his life. He felt depressed that there were idiots would prefer that he had died for political correctness.

I am surprised these Lefty nitwits are not obsessed at the fire bombing of Dresden. That bombing caused people to boil alive on the super heated streets. An estimated, 35,000 to 135,000 civilians died from the bombings. Of course, the Germans sent the V1 buzz bombs and V2 rockets into Britain killing 6,184 innocent civilians and injuring 17,981. The Dresden bombings were a retaliation to the V weapons attacks.
Sorry Newsbusters, but this is a perfectly appropriate use of “in anger” (as opposed to in practice or in a test).
