...So I crawled in the total darkness, and I got to the opening. And by the time I got there, the building was on fire. That meant most of the girls were burnt to death. Although that happened in the morning, it was already very dark, like twilight. And the two other girls managed to come out, and three of us looked around. And in the darkness, I could see some dark moving object approaching to me. They happened to be human beings shuffling from the center part of the city to where I was.
They just didn't look like human beings. I called them ghosts, ghost-like people because their hair was standing up. They were covered with blood and burned and bludgeoned and swollen, and the flesh was hanging from the bones. Parts of their bodies were missing, and some were carrying their own eyeballs in their hands. And as they collapsed, their stomach burst open, intestines stretching out. Everybody was slowly shuffling. Nobody was running. And the shouting for help. Nobody had that kind of physical and psychological strength left.
Well, we three girls were reluctantly in good shape. We could walk. We could carry. So we went to the nearby stream and washed off the blood in the dirt from the bodies. And when the darkness fell, we just sat on the hill, and all night we watched the entire city burn.

Tough chit you started it we finished it
It is inhumane not to feel deeply for the horrific suffering of innocent people who suffered so terribly from the nuclear attacks in Japan.
But the U.S.A. is not at fault. The fault lies with the Japanese emperor and Japan’s imperial warlike culture.
Let’s get that straight.
Given you started the war, you deserved it. Especially with all the untold atrocities of the japanese military.
In the words of Galactic Law, as quoted by Arbiter Chuck Norris of Earth-872-Round-House-Kick . . .
“. . .don’t start shit you can’t finish. . . . “
Bummer.
The Sherman War is Hell strategy. The Japanese raped, murdered, mutilated, starved, beat, performed wicked medical experiments on POWs all across the Pacific. In some ways, they made the Germans look like pikers. But unlike the Germans, they have never faced their past with honesty.
What is not ever reported by the LSM is that the Japanese were working on their own version of the bomb. Had they gotten it first ... do you really think they would have hesitated even for a second to us it on the US. Screw the idiot A-bomb apologists.
If so, he might better understand why Hiroshima happened in the first place, and why the Japanese reaped what they sowed.
If Americans were exposed to even a tenth of the atrocities these savages committed to allied troops, they’d tell this guy to go pound sand.
Nanking
Bataan
There may still be a few very elderly Nanking survivors you could try to interview, but that would make Obama look bad so you won't.
Feel the burn zipperhead
Japan has NEVER taken responsibility for any part of that war.
More were killed in the fire bombing of Tokyo, and the injuries were just as horrible. It’s just that the left can’t ban fire (yet), so they stick with nuclear weapons.
For 10 years leading up to Pearl Harbor the Japanese occupied China, doing unspeakable atrocities to the people there...
during that time the Japanese built ammo dumps all over that country...
it is said that the Japanese had so much weaponry that if the bomb had not been dropped, the war may have lasted 10 more years..
Remember Pearl Harbor????
Karma is a b!tch, ain’t it?????????
Devil’s Island..
on my home town cenotaph in New Zealand there is a name of a young soldier who was a POW of the Japanese and beheaded..
I don’t remember if he was the one who escaped or he was murdered because someone else escaped but when anybody managed to the Japanese would behead 10 of the other prisoners...
As children and Brownies/Wolf Cubs, we stood at the cenotaph and read his name and told his story to each other on ANZAC DAY, April 25, and shuddered at the horror of his death..
The other choices were to starve Japan into submission, or invade.
Both would have resulted in much higher causalities.
I get into this argument on the Religion Forum all the time. Japan in WWII was evil. They did some rather horrific things to the territories they conquered.
When you start wars, expect blow back. Something the US needs to acknowledge as well.
