Shut up and eat your dog food!

As the GOPe (elite/establishment) threatens to/prepares to "Wage War" on the Republican nominee for President we need to be reminded just what the "their (GOPe) best ideas" have given us in the last 24 years:

1992 -- Bush 41 / Quayle -- Thanks to a third party run Perot / Stockdale and their "reform party" we were introduced to Bill Clinton and his "moral-less" behavior in office. The damage of his time in office is still felt today.

1996 -- Dole / Kemp -- Fail! Didn't fight, didn't challenge and basically threw punches like a six year old girl.

2008 -- McCain / Palin -- Fail! McCain rolled over and was "polite," Palin fought and got ravaged by the media and the GOPe establishment which gave us obama.

2012 -- Romney / Ryan -- Fail! Never fought, rolled over and gave up, couldn't beat obama even heading in to an election year after the house had gone to Republican control and two years later retained the house and gained the senate, so even with those kind of tail winds still failed to win the presidency. Why? Because while Mitt Romney is undeniably an honorable man, he didn't excite the electorate and motivate them to turn-out and we ended up with four more years of failure and division.

Essentially 16 of the last 24 years have seen the US led by a democrat president, not well, but none-the-less it is a fact -- So what are we all told during each one of these failed presidential campaigns? "Trust us and shut up and eat your dog food!"

Quite frankly the GOPe hasn't developed a winning formula and therefore it is their turn to "trust us and shut up and eat their dog food."

We are tired of losing to third rate, no talent leftists who have nothing but contempt for the "fly over" Americans of this nation -- As has been written about this year (2016) many Americans feel that standing up for America and traditional American values, the very values that have "Made America Great," are being mocked and ridiculed, this, this is what is fueling the anger and outrage at the left and the establishment and it appears to be falling on deaf ears.

Why is it that the leftists and establishment republicans fail to see that Veterans, Christians, and the working class have built a great nation based on patriotism, morals, values, hard work, and dedication and these Americans believe that everything that they have worked for and fought for is all undeniably under attack -- These people love our country, many have fought for it, many devote their time volunteering to coach, teach, and minister to their neighbors with no expectation of reward for their service to their country and communities, they simply go about their lives serving and loving their families and only become political every four years when they go down to their local polling place to mark their ballot.

Until this current president!

This president with his mocking and belittling of the very segment of the population that funds America comes along and purposely divides the nation, mocks the values, mocks the veterans, and belittles the very Americans that feel like not only are they getting stuck with the bill, but now they are not even being heard and when they are being heard they are being mocked for their very values and sacrifice -- This is what has given rise to Donald Trump and the man may or may not be a lot of things, but what he is right now is MOST definitely tapped into "the American's" that are tired of being mocked and ridiculed by their public servants - ELECTED PUBLIC SERVANTS who are either dedicated to "Making America Great Again," or are fighting to continue to be part of the problem. If ever there has been a moment in American history when the saying "lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way" is most apropos it is now.

Winning with Trump is still better than losing to Hillary!

You forgot Bush 43, who gave us more big government and refused to fight back.

Mitt Romney is undeniably an honorable man??????????? On what basis? Attempting someone else to run against the Republican nominee?

Dole was disabled for 3 or 4 months by Powell's dithering about running for President. Hamlet on the Pottomac, if you will.

He started from a deficit and never made it back. He could have been a lot better at it too.

“I disagree that Mitt Romney is an honorable man.”

He is downright malignant.

As a governor, he aided, abetted and promoted culture of death agendas such as abortion and homosexual marriage as state policies in the general population, among the ‘gentiles’. At the same time, in his religious capacity, he did all he could to discourage such wretched practices and to encourage child births among his coreligionists. Think about why he would have such divergent approaches to two different populations, and do the math over time.

Bishop Willard is vile. Pharaoh had nothing on Bishop Willard, who expanded on Margaret Sanger’s definition of ‘human weeds’.

They don't fail to see this. They want to destroy it because that's what keeps them from having complete control over the American people.

No, the blame for this falls squarely on George H.W. Bush's shoulders. If he wasn't such a crappy President, people would have voted for him rather than for Perot.

From the title, I thought this thread was going to be about whether Dynovite and Texas SuperFood are really the same thing.

On a more serious note, a few days ago I ran into one of the people on the local Republican county executive board, and was reminded of how much these un-American, oligarchic, elitist, "conservatives" from Colorado's we're-not-a-democracy crowd despise the average voter. How do these clowns think they're going to win the general election with no voters—by poaching the Electoral College electors?

Okay, “Mitt Romney is undeniably an honorable man” — Strike that — BLUF: He failed to get elected and he is part of the GOPe...which is my point.

Well it was 19% of the vote. If the GOPe pulls this kind of $hit and they find a candidate that can peel away even 10% say hello to President HRC...

I think that you're missing my point. You have fringe third party candidates in every election, most of them are lucky to get close to 1%. Nobody pays attention to third parties unless the D and R candidates are so unacceptable that the only decent alternative to not voting is a third party sideshow. If George H.W. Bush wasn't such a disappointing President, Perot would have gotten <1% of the vote rather than almost 20.

Furthermore, it's hard for me to get worked up over Clinton beating Bush in 1992 since on matters of policy (esp. domestic economic policy) they were virtually indistinguishable. Bush campaigned in 1988 as Reagan's heir but governed to the left of Nelson Rockefeller.

The only prominent GOP politician who I think would be stupid enough to pull this stunt is Lindsey Graham. He'd get the vote of the editorial staff of the Weekly Standard and National Review, and perhaps a few of his siblings or cousins if he bribes them.

I disagree with the assertion “Furthermore, it’s hard for me to get worked up over Clinton beating Bush in 1992 since on matters of policy...” I was on active duty then and the clintonestas went after the military and unleased the male/military hating likes of congresswoman Patricia Schroeder on the military, starting with “tailhook” and pursued the neutering of the military with all the zeal of the most devout jihadi and don’t get me started on the don’t ask, don’t tell bull$hit, not to mention the massive force reductions that occurred as a result of Clinton’s BS F’n “peace dividend.” Those were eight of the worst years in American military history!!!

Those were VERY, VERY BAD TIMES for the military and a lot of those dumb a$$ ideas only laid the groundwork for ovomit and allowing him to move forward with allowing gays to openly serve and now even pushing the barriers even further by allowing transgenders to serve and have the military pay for re-assignment surgery, no, I’m 100% sure that none of the dumb$hit would have happened on Bush 41’s watch — There may have been other dumb$hit, but tampering with the military would NOT have been one of them.

Dole had a wicked sense of humor prior to his running for the presidency but his handlers throttled his major attribute because the felt it would offend some people. Muting his major asset assured his loss.

You left out W., while he won, barely, he did much damage to the country and the conservative movement.
He refused to secure the borders and enforce the laws.
He REDUCED border and interior enforcement AFTER 9/11.
Unforgivable.
