“I disagree that Mitt Romney is an honorable man.”
He is downright malignant.
As a governor, he aided, abetted and promoted culture of death agendas such as abortion and homosexual marriage as state policies in the general population, among the ‘gentiles’. At the same time, in his religious capacity, he did all he could to discourage such wretched practices and to encourage child births among his coreligionists. Think about why he would have such divergent approaches to two different populations, and do the math over time.
Bishop Willard is vile. Pharaoh had nothing on Bishop Willard, who expanded on Margaret Sanger’s definition of ‘human weeds’.
Mitt could have mounted at least a nominal resistance, even if the Massachusetts juggernaut was poised to ultimately force its will on him. He failed sadly there.
However — I wouldn’t expect a governor who was also a church overseer (bishop) to wish equally stringent requirements on the general secular public as on his church.
