Newt never made an official Trump endorsement. He was tiptoeing around the topic but never declared.

Duncan Hunter is a decent choice. Iraq vet and in his 3rd term in congress. Helps with the ins and outs in DC, and backs up his support of vets by having one of their own on the ticket. Maybe not everyone’s 1st choice, but OK.
I thought Gingrich endorsed him a long time ago and has been working closely with Trump ever since.
Newsmax is running a story saying Newt is the front-runner for the VP pick, not that I trust them as a reliable source.

For any one who hasn’t paid attention:
Newt campaigned for Kasich in NOVA so Kasich would take votes from Rubio and Trump would win the state.
It worked. Newt’s not stupid.
well if it’s Duncan Hunter Jr. we’ll have to pop a cork in memory of FReeper pissant, who was his #1 fan.
I don’t know anything about him other than he’s 39, has a business degree and has actually held a job other then politician, quit it on 9/12/2001 and joined the Marines and rose to the rank of Major. And he’s served in Congress for six years, thus meeting Trump’s criteria. Sounds like a solid choice to me.
It won’t be Duncan Hunter. But...if it was, it would be outstanding.
Duncan Hunter takes no prisoners.
I do not think Duncan Hunter is on the short list of Trump’s VP candidates.
Sometimes some people mention him, more to try to draw attention to Hunter, but I don’t think he is on the list.
Hunter can stay in Congress and can do good there.
