Who is blocking 29 million in Los Angeles from getting water, and why
Despite some nice rainfall this year, the more than two dozen State Water Contractors throughout the state have been told to expect 45 percent water allocations.
A recent Daily Democrat article said 100 percent water supply is probably not even possible for many areas, and estimated that 60-70 percent of water supplies through the two state aqueducts could be as good as it gets.
Special: Christie Brinkley's New Wrinkle Remover! 15 Years Younger For $5 While recent rain has helped greatly, state water officials say its not enough to replenish years of drought.
President Trump the builder will build a pipeline to Canada/Washington state for water. Once it’s passed congress he can taunt the left by saying it’s for oil. Just keep the rainwater from flowing to the ocean.
gunmint!
The answer is always gubmint; usually right there in plain sight, but sometimes requiring digging a bit deeper....but...evrybody knows this...we just make-believe, sometimes....

Why should they?
The illegals come from third-world hellholes, so they're accustomed to "no infrastructure".
Three words:
Leftist totalitarian thugs.
Yup. 25% of the LA population is illegal.
And, obviously, ther is nothing wrong with importing 100% of America’s food ... instead of the paltry 50% today.
I've saying that for years. Like some countries sit on oceans of oil, Canada has an inland, fresh water ocean.
I've read articles where some claim only a small pct. of that water is "renewable," but that sounds like arguments from enviro-wackos who don't want anything touched.
Without water that is not nice land. The area averages about ten inches of rain a year.
Communists don't water their slaves.
Where, pray tell, is this Canadian “inland ocean”? I’ve been here my whole life, and this is the first I’ve heard of it.
True that
It must be the secret Canadian Ocean.
And you have never watered a lawn or a plant?
Sounds like a Harry Reid plan to me.
“California is the model for the rest of the country.”
That’s long been my fear.
And how much rain in Egypt at the time of the pharaohs, of Rome at the time of Emperors?
The ancients knew and understood water management.
The valley may not get much rain, but the mountains to the east get a lot of rain and snow. It is not lack of water, or lack of understanding how to build reservoirs and a water distribution system that is the problem.
It is a political elite that are using water as a weapon.
Since a good portion of the wealth in California is derived from the crops grown in the Central Valley I wonder when the state will run out of money they used to keep buying votes.
Any government controlled program will lead to shortages, this is no different.
I live in a region with a *massive* fresh water lake. I can afford to make my lawn nice and green.
Businesses growing almonds in one of the least hospitable place in the world complaining that they can’t buy water during a drought? Screw that — it’s not just all about business. We’re not going to turn a limited public resource like water into a “f you I got mine” source of cash for the free market when we’re talking about an existential drought crisis.
There is a new industry of water-saving technology that is growing just because of the drought making it necessary, and this industry will be important for American security interests in the long term.
While I feel for the smaller farmers, the reservoirs are still awfully low.
The Ca Water Wars have been going on for a long time. EPA ridiculousness on display.

CA residents here. The drought is over and deserts are the best place in the world to grow food. Most desert farmers can get around 11 crops a year in because it’s always warm and bright out. This is why Egypt was such a powerful and rich area for most of its existence.
The can. They have all the water they could possibly use just west of the state.
