Yep - you’re getting that transference down perfectly.

BTW - your dull mind bores me. I’m sleepy enough, I don’t need to read any more of your silly nonsense.

You made your point already. When I think of ‘redundancy’ now I can look through this thread and see your posting. Give it a rest. You’re getting as obnoxious as Ted. It’s not heroic.

I don’t buy that, because someone fully sold out on such a religious view would not be deterred by a setback. In God’s plan, maybe this was preparation for 2016. It’s like the Seventh-Day Adventists-—when Jesus didn’t come as prophesied in the 1800s, well, “we just read it wrong, but He’s coming next week/month/year.

If Cruz put out a cheerful, optimistic aura, he would be a real threat. But that was Reagan. Cruz says it angry, rude. Yes, Trump interrupts, talks over but he usually ends up “that’s shy we’re going to make America Great Again!” Cruz just SEEMS angry and nasty all the time.

You just don’t like their answers.

Here’s a fact: Trump has over 1000 delegates. He needs less than 250 to win the nomination. Between CA, WV, and NJ he will win around another 200 delegates. That will put him, depending on how many other delegates he wins, within 30 or so delegates of the nomination.

Everyone knows this. The Cruz campaign knows this. There’s no way Ted Cruz doesn’t know this. Yet Cruz insists that Trump will lose in a contested convention and he will be the nominee. And he says this despite all the evidence to the contrary, and in spite of the damage it will do to the country.

He’s either insane, or just a complete jerk.

Cruz is very unlikable and rude. This guy is lying mess!

Trump talks to you - Cruz lectures. When a lecturer gets interrupted or disagreed with, his hackle rise and he wants to shut down the "rude disbelievers".....

I definitely could be wrong. It happened once :-). But that's not going to stop me from posting what I pick up. It's for you and/or anyone else to decide if I am unhinged or not, and whatever you decide is fine.

That said, what I can't afford ... and what we all know this country can't afford ... is for me (and many many many many others who pick up similar things from Cruz) ... is to be right, or even partially right.

It's one of the reason's I think Ted has made a big mistake by going all in so hard and making deals. If he IS a good man, he should have pulled back, supported Trump, and let the country get to know him for 8 years.

This one term senator stuff has to stop, because there isn't enough evidence of who the man really is ... how he's weathered hard times, good times, normal times. I care less about their successes than how they handled defeats, what led to the defeat ... what they learned from it.

Cruz is untested, black box. To the extent that he's NOT a black box, it's a box that hasn't been around long enough to say it's not a fake open box.

Giles I think that's all I have to say on this. We disagree deeply on something neither of us can prove outright ... the mental soundness or lack thereof of Cruz ... and we agree that you think I was nasty, and I think I'm merely sincere and honest about what I perceive.

So! Let's both move on, thank you for the discussion. We can argue on another point and another thread some time in the future ... or maybe we'll agree.

Either way I'll be right and you'll be wrong unless you agree with me. Just kidding. Happy Sunday.

The guy is just repulsive. I’m betting he loses Indiana, and still won’t drop out.

I am certain Cruz loses Indiana.

Him not dropping out will make Trump’s victory even more obvious. After Indiana Cruz will be so damaged people will run away from him and towards Trump.

The only person Cruz seems to “like” are those that blindly follow him or “vote” for him. He is not someone who genuinely likes people. He’s angry and bitter and is all too willing to spew the GOPe talking points when it suits him.

No matter what Rush says, he is not a decent person or anyone I would ever want as a neighbor. He’s the type of person that sticks his nose in everyone’s business. Go away Ted. You and Dad need a long vacation together.

I think finally Megyn was actually coming around to see the real Ted. Too late for her...

A couple of cogent points, from watching some of the Megyn Kelly interview, which someone upthread posted a YouTube link to...

(And no, I couldn't watch the whole thing).

1) Cruz has a facial expression like a middle-aged dad looking over the top of his glasses at you while he's reading the newspaper. Except he's not wearing glasses. Verdict: condescending / creepy.

2) He also has a rather wimpy/ingratiating half-smile which sends conflicting signals with the "looking down on you" facial expression. This might be a symptom of his autism spectrum -- he simply doesn't know how he comes off.

3) There was a repeated theme of Cruz stating "Did Trump say 'xyz'? YES or NO?" Great rhetorical trick from a lawyer, when badgering a witness on the stand, for once you have them under oath as YES or NO, you can tie them to that, all day; and if they attempt to protest at being set up, you parade around that they're being uncooperative or shifty, therefore unreliable.

But that only works under the artificial constraints of a courtroom; moreover, where you are the lawyer and are socially accorded deference and the presumption of respectability and the veneer of Diogenes searching for TRUTHTM...but in the real world, when you are facing a reporter on TV, and YOU are the one being questioned, and the reporter has the supposed presumption of the moral high ground...such a tactic does NOT work. It comes across as belligerent, hostile, and angry. And such is a fatal flaw for a politician who is trying to garner votes: politicians are allowed to be angry, but only in a moral crusade where they are Leading the People in a Just Cause against an Obvious Enemy TM. You know, like raaaaaaaacism or something. But just against another candidate, especially while you are losing, and fighting an uphill (mathematically eliminaTED) fight...it doesn't play. It looks deranged, or like a toddler's temper tantrum.

4. Cruz hasn't realized -- politics has a lot of MARKETING in it; which is notably lacking in the man himself, though his early paid political spots (A woman's voice talking about the 2nd Amendment, "...that's MY Ted Cruz") were genius. If you're marketing, you simply DON'T go around mentioning your competitor by name over and over, you want people to go away subliminally thinking good things about YOU. (It's the old "Quick! DON'T think about pink elephants!" principle.)

I personally am beginning to blame Heidi, not just this seven mountain stuff or Beck's "White Horse Prophecy" or Cruz's dad...Most women seeing their man going over a cliff like this, would warn him, not go all Thelma and Louise on the gas pedal...speaking of which...her response to the allegations of affairs, was odd. She didn't immediately attack those accusing him ("Ted's not LIKE that!") nor did she attack the women ("Those hussies, trying to take my man!")...nor did it look like she attacked Ted ("How COULD you?!!")...instead she disappeared and then showed up after, what was it, five days or so, campaigning for him as though nothing had happened. That just didn't pass the smell test: it *seemed* like it meant they'd had an open marriage or something. I don't know about their relationship either way -- except apparently they lived apart (Texas and DC) for a number of years, and she's had a high-powered job: maybe that affected her internal attitude towards the scandal. But the optics on the outside, were lousy.

The biggest drawback Cruz has with this technique is Trump has a platform... WE can hear him saying how he feels... that 'trumps' the bullsh*t.

I'm assuming you mean you don't buy that this is a cognitive dissonance type of thing going on in his head... A transitional period where his faith-based view of himself as King of the 7 Mountains is running headfirst into the reality of massive voter rejection, and all the inner turmoil that would cause. We'll know by next Wednesday when we see how he handles another loss.

I noticed he has now boxed himself into a corner by saying so adamantly that Trump can't and won't get to the 1237. It's getting harder and harder to say that, obviously. What will be his stated public excuse to hang on when it becomes undeniable that Trump will reach 1237? (I'm counting on massive voter turnout to offset the Uniparty's electronic malware election fraud. Incidentally, that's probably another contributing factor to Cruz's [and Jeb's] smugness).

Aside from Ted's spiritual beliefs, I think he's REALLY wanting to tell his followers: "Look, the RNC is going to change the rules with a convention floor vote (disqualify Trump delegates, move up the magic 1237 requirement, etc). That's why I'm staying in and that's why Jeb still has that smug look on his face, because we're gonna double-cross Donald! And God told Heidi it's okay and not immoral and unethical because after all, 'that's the rules,' right?" < / magical mind-reading on my part >

We MUST be in Cleveland, people. As it draws near, the violence will escalate from the paid "protestors" to intimidate us to stay home and take it in the rear end yet ONE MORE TIME. Do NOT fall for any apparent "acceptance" by the national GOP officials. They are snakes.

One more thing: We MUST flood them with postcards every week. It's probably the most effective way to inform them of our presence and our steadfast resolution to vote them all out. They still think we'll give in next November. We owe it to our children to make sure they know good and dang well the consequences of what they're about to do in Cleveland. Any upcoming societal turmoil will be on THEIR shoulders, not ours. Stupidity has consequences.

He gets incredible amounts of air time to be positive and state a position and he spends every second talking about Trump-—indeed, even his Jimmy Fallon satire . . . was about Trump.

I’m sure you’ve noticed that over the years Rush refuses to name one single other talk show host on his show. When someone else brings up the name, he just ignores it. He has said this was a deliberate marketing ploy, that he just wasn’t going to talk about competitors.

Exactly. Imagine, she’s doing HIS BIDDING to get them where he wants to go, and he’s boning everything in sight, any lass that thinks boning the state attorney will get her a better job, I guess: it can’t be his charisma. No wonder she ended up by the side of the freeway.

Has the Trumpster walked back his statement that he thinks the government should pay for everyone’s beath care yet? That’s even WORSE than 0bama Care. You Trumpbots need to put down the bong, look into the mirror and see who the real liar(s) is/are.

Talk about liars, Trump never said that...Not even once...That's why Cruz's popularity has sunk like a lead balloon...Honest people are flat out tired of his lying....

Long before Trump became a Republican candidate for President he was in favor of universal healthcare like they have in Sweden...At the beginning of the debates he said that type of healthcare wouldn't work in the U.S.... So as a Presidential contender Trump never said he was for universal gov't supplied healthcare...

ALL you Trumbots are LYING sacks of.... Like I said "...PUT DOWN THE BONG..." Trump has said so many things at different times even he can't keep them straight. It's no wonder his slack-jawed, drooling sycophants can't either. Trump did too say he was going to cover EVERYBODY:

Just curious, but what is Cruz’s plan for health care?

The only government action on healthcare is to GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY! It is not the government's responsibility to provide healthcare to ANYONE! I thought all Freepers recognized that, but apparently, one sip of the Trump kool-aid and your brains go dead--like a liberal's.
