A CNN article today points out the internal polling within Indiana is following this consistent pattern:
[
] Cruz allies and people close to the campaign describe a budding sense of gloom, with internal polls diving as Trump mounted even stronger than expected showings in his native northeast. In Indiana, which Cruz backers once believed they were favored to win after his strong defeat of Trump in Wisconsin, Cruzs numbers have fallen precipitously: Once leading, Cruz now trails in the state by eight to 10 points, according to a person who has seen the numbers, with Trump over the 40% mark. Cruzs campaign did not respond when asked about those figures.

It is not time to celebrate yet--we still must expect desperate dirty tricks from the mass media, Democrats & the remaining pockets of unprincipled Republican resistance;--but it is fast becoming a contest that is very clearly winable in November (even if the Democrats replace Hillary as their candidate--something that there remains every reason to expect).
Just like Bush, when the going get rough (in this case insurmountable) call in poppi!-)
NEW YORK After negative reporting of his religious views, the Christian evangelist father of Ted Cruz has returned to the campaign trail in an effort to win evangelical voters in Indiana, whose primary Tuesday is regarded by many as the Texas senators last hope to keep his bid for the Republican presidential nomination alive.
Models are not afraid of their bodies!
Just answer me this: Who is Cruz campaign finance manager?
No candidate in this election has called an opponent a hermaphrodite or started rumors that their opponent is dead, so they haven’t even approached the election of 1800.
Really How short was Mitt? 250 Delgates and currently over 333,000 votes behind Trump and Trump has 10 more States as earlier Stated Where does Ted win a State?
Cruz is a tragic case. He has real ability as a spokesmen for Constitutional values. He has, however, clearly betrayed the better angels of his nature, and let ambition overrule even his common sense.
In his deliberate effort to smear Donald Trump, he has stooped to things which while ultimately also just plain stupid, violate the moral precepts he has long claimed. Cherry picking isolated incidents and data from years past, wholly out of context—and then grossly misinterpreting them—he has become a living example of what it means to “bear false witness.” In the process he has even lost the sincere intonations with which he earlier addressed audiences. He sounds now like a recording of a snake oil salesman, no longer a principled statesman.
Had Cruz stuck to what he believes in, rather than rationalizing his false witness; had he given the principled stands his best shot, and accepted gracefully that this year the voters preferred Trump; Cruz would have had a great future. Now? I, for one, will mourn his fall, even as I work ever harder to put Donald Trump in the White House.
I will not do that.
He is dead to me now.
And forever.
You can make a case that last Tuesday Ted couldn't win against Hillary.
But make the Case where Ted did get 20% of the Vote or win a County or delegate in Florida, Virginia or Ohio and beat Hillary?
By October I suspect it will be as if Trump will be running unopposed! Landslide.
You could also make this case against Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin, who make Meghan Kelly seem professional as well fair and balanced.
Lying? When. Seems to be that Trump is the constant fabricator of the facts.

“Not sure I agree with the premise that McConnell and Cruz are enemies...”
I don’t know. THe thing I’ve been thinking is Cruz called McConnell a LIAR on the floor of the Senate and I was behind him all the way, but now that I know how much he lies, how do I know it wasn’t TED that was the LYIN’ LIAR.
Cruz really seems to have an honesty problem, and I say that with some regret. Example: It’s obvious that Pence has yielded to GOP pressure and will come out today and endorse Cruz. What does Cruz do? “There will be a big announcement at 12:00 PM today from Mike Pence. I don’t know what it is, but I urge everyone to watch.” Please! You don’t know what it is? Pence didn’t tell you?
Why does Cruz do this, time after time?
Yet, as was recalled upthread, about that same time a sitting senator clubbed another sitting senator like a baby seal on the floor of the senate. This is nothing.
You think the person who couldn’t win the Republican Primary, is going to win a General election?
Well, bless your heart.
You ‘said’ it very eloquently. As a New Yorker, I’ll reduce it to two words: Lyin’ Ted!
Honestly I don’t personally get into the whole honesty issue.... Cruz lost a lot of folks when he decided that saying its Trump’s fault a bunch of paid agitators rioted at his rally in Chicago.
Cruz is smart, he knows damn well they were paid agitators, and they would have happily done the same thing to one of his rallies if paid/told to.. yet he went out and blamed Trump for it? At that moment he might as well have been Hillary Clinton.
Since then he’s done a few more things like this that aren’t just someone saying he said this or did that... but are demonstrable actions he personally has taken that show he can’t be trusted.
He really did kill his future in politics. I’m sure he doesn’t know it, though. Some people are just not cut out for that type of career. He needs to be in some law firm back in TX. I’m worried he’ll come to NYC!
I’m with you. I rooted for Cruz when he was in the Senate, and would vote for him if push came to shove, but he has proven to be not quite what I thought he was. Nuff said.
