If you are so convinced that Donald Trump will lose to Hillary Clinton in November and in doing so, pull down the whole Republican Party, here are a few questions to consider.
“If he were to gain the nomination, which single state (I’ll make it easy) would Ted Cruz win that Mitt Romney did not win?”
“Do you think that Donald Trump would roll over for Hillary Clinton without hitting her over and over again on the numerous crimes she has committed and vulnerabilities she has?” “You know, like McCain and Romney did for Obama.”
“Do you imagine this would be like a typical presidential election where the media and its 6% trust factor would be able to give Trump THE TREATMENT they give to every Republican at every level?”
“Do you deny that Trump will get 20% of Blacks to vote for him as indicated in every smothered poll since last Labor Day’s USAToday poll?” “That fact isn’t even challenged.”
“Do you really believe that Hillary Clinton would not have to fight for New York and thus waste time and money no Democrat has had to since 1988?”
“Do you think that Republican turnout being +30% and Democrat turnout being -30% are meaningless statistics?”
“Do you understand that Gallup recently measured Trump supporters’ enthusiasm at what they described as an 'Extraordinarily high' 65% and warned it is so high that failing to give Trump the nomination would be “an impediment in November?”
“What do you think will be the result of Trump campaigning with Pat Smith then bringing up Kathleen Willey and Juanita Broaddrick?”
“Do you think Trump hasn’t already neutered Bill Clinton...

Virtually the same number as Cruz, though I expect he would come closer than Ted. The vast majority of the original colonies have Democrat affiliation of at least 3 to 2.
I still don’t understand the strange infatuation there is for Trump, who maybe is electable, but the question is do we want him for President? My wife is fairly conservative but she would stay home before voting Trump.
As for the turnout, we are only talking about 10 million primary voters. How does equate to the 50+ million he will need to win the nation?
we know Trump treated all his family well even as separations happened and new people came in.
we know trump treats employees well
we know trump treats everyday people well, has helped people in need
we know he stepped in, took on projects that were failing and completed them in short time under budget- like that ice rink.
we know he made a park for veterans
we know he has said many times at rallies he will never let us down
I’m sure there is plenty more real life examples of how trump will handle things as president.
based on his policy papers and how he is speaking truth, pointing out problems and implementing solutions or if he cannot implement (state voting and such that is not his control to fix) he is offering his ideas of solutions, i can comfortably say I know he will do his best for the country and citizens of USofA.
fear, uncertainty and such is not from God, it’s from self or satan. lived and it and now happily free and full of hope in God and His best for the USofA.
That’s true, I really think he has a good shot at absolutely obliterating her in the election, big landslide win. He’s running just about even with her now, and I know LIBERAL Democrats who are voting for Trump which I find astounding, so I can just imagine what kind of numbers he’s going have after he spends the next 7 month exposing this witch for exactly what she is. She is absolutely nuts for running, she really is. Her and Bill are worth 100 million, she can walk right now and probably get away with the email scandal and spend the rest of her life getting her butt kissed. If she stays in though, Trump is going to expose her like an atomic bomb on film and I really believe he is going to put her in a lot of legal trouble. He’s going to destroy her.
There are a lot of other things he might do that we might not like, but if he does half of these, we'll all be ecstatic.
That is because the party of Losing Losers have not fought for it for 27 years. To say the Trump won't be competitive in New England is counter factual based on the history of the primary events this year and how Trump has dominated thus far, and his epic victory in those states yesterday.
Like the past 30 years when you knew exactly what Bush1, Bush2, McLame, D-Bag Romney would do? You will never get that total assurance this side of death. Find valid concerns to hang your fear off of.

Romney won in the Carolinas and Georgia. I suspect Trump would win South Carolina and Georgia, as would Cruz. I stand by my original comment. Trump would obviously come closer than Cruz, but the net effect on the EC would be the same.

The guy can't even carry his own party, for chrissakes. He couldn't even take a majority in his home state.
Endorsements from his place of work (the Senate)? Forget it. Everyone there hates him.
Positions on the issues of the day? Corker amendment. TPP. Amnesty/immigration. In a word, everything that voters are fed up with and are trying to get rid of.
But Good Ol' Ted - he just keeps plowing ahead, oblivious to what's going on around him, let alone what's happening in the world.
Here's the point - the Dems, for once, seem poised to put up the weakest possible candidate, and if Cruz is injected into this scenario, a loss of truly epic proportions awaits him, with future historians wondering en masse just how a now-defunct political party could have committed suicide like that.
He is not a man of his time. That situation passed some time ago.
For the country, the situation threatens to become dire, and most Americans sense that what went down in the past is not going to cut it now.
We don't need a Mafia lawyer wannabe leading us - we need a LEADER! We need a man who can get things done. We need a Charlemagne.

I've done it, and we disagree, so be it. I also disagree with your tagline...Trump is far closer to Wesley Mouch or Herbert Mowen than he is John Galt.
Galt would have never sought to bought influence with politicians as Trump has done, but you're entitled to your opinion. Perhaps an unfair comparison, as we're trying to compare a fictional character and a man who has made his way in the real world.

Sitting out for Romney made sense in a lot of ways, regardless of whether we get 4 more years of a Democrat. The GOP needs to be reformed from top to bottom and they cannot be allowed to run roughshod over conservatives, their supposed base.
At some point we have to take a stand. If the GOP is too stupid to understand this they need to be destroyed in some way and a better political entity needs to emerge.
Now, I would be the first to admit that I personally am ideologically driven--as are most of us at Free Republic. But there are tens of millions of Americans who march to a different drummer!
Donald Trump can easily refute his negatives, Hillary cannot refute hers. His are based on momentary impressions--refuted simply by changing the nuances & intonations of his speeches. Hers are based on a lifetime of lying; repeated betrayals of duty; an actual hatred for many aspects of the American tradition.
Just consider the prospects for a race where a man who deeply loves America is pitted against a woman who has tried to undermine the American tradition, since her college days.
One can go on and on; but the point is obvious.
I’ll have to respectfully disagree. This administration has been a disaster. Would Romney have been any better? I don’t know, but I’d like to think so.
Cutting off your nose to spite your face is not an answer. Plus, as we can now see, the GOPe did NOT learn a darn thing by that. They’re worse now than before the 2012 election. They only thing that might - and I stress the “might” - get their attention is for Trump to get the 1237 and then some. This Cruz supporter hopes he does because a contested convention would fracture the party so badly that a chance for a conservative to win the White House would be at least a decade away. By then it will be too late, I fear.
Trump was praising Obama because in 2009 public sector jobs were being shed like crazy. Government was absolutely not growing. Government employment growth has been slower under Obama than any president in the last 50 years.

Any Republican would need FL, NC, VA, NM and OH or PA, and NH or NM or NV. Ted Cruz would lose FL and VA. Just the loss of FL (29 EV) alone would force you to win both OH and PA, and NH, and NV. That’s a tall order.
