John Kasich delivered a lofty speech on Tuesday in which he implored voters to reject the dark visions of Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, slamming their divisive policies and behavior as not worthy of the office they are seeking.
The Ohio governors speech at the Women's National Republican Club in New York had all the trappings of a presidential affair, with Hail to the Chief piped into the room and American flags prominently placed behind him.
But the rhetoric and setting was out of step with Kasichs campaign success to date. He has only won one state so far his home state of Ohio and on the delegate front, he is running fourth in a three-man race (Marco Rubio, who dropped out last month, is still 28 delegates ahead).
At this point, its mathematically impossible for Kasich to win the 1,237 delegates he needs to claim the nomination outright, but hes pushed back on Trump and Cruzs calls for him to drop out, instead banking that he can emerge as the consensus candidate at a contested convention in July.
To that end, Kasich on Tuesday offered a much-hyped speech entitled Two Paths in which played on a theme that he has touted for much of his campaign that his rivals are selling darkness, and he's selling light. While he did not directly invoke Trump or Cruz's names, he rattled off their controversial proposals and talking points, including the real estate mogul's proclamation that he will "make America great again."

Kasich is the one who should be down on his knees shouting “I Am Not Worthy!!”
I promise the GOPe if this clown is the nominee he will NOT get my vote. I will write in Mickey Mouse.
Kasich should just keep quiet. He may or may not get the nomination at the convention, but even if he does, he is just the designated loser to Hillary. The GOPe is in bed with the Dems for a Hillary presidency.
Tech billionaires (major Dem donors and Hillary supporters) plot with GOP leaders at exclusive island resort to stop Trump
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
Kasich is worthy. If he would just honesty admit to being a democrat, his party would probably rush to nominate him over Bernie’s socialism or Hillary’s scandals. Kasich agrees with the democrats on almost every issue.
- Kasich voted for the Assault Weapons Ban. https://grabien.com/file.php?id=53463 and as of last year did not regret that vote
- Kasich supported and implemented Obamacares Medicare expansion http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/john-kasich-bible-medicaid_us_56140a54e4b022a4ce5fb1e3
- Kasich supports Amnesty for illegals. http://www.ontheissues.org/John_Kasich.htm
- Kasich dismissively said Christian bakers should bake the cupcake and participate in a gay parody of the sacrament of marriage, even if it violates their religious beliefs. https://www.frcaction.org/updatearticle/20160225/kasich-pushes
- Kasich supports Obamas nominee for the Supreme Court. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/john-kasich-id-consider-nominating-merrick-garland-supreme-court-election-2016/
Kasich is far more worthy than either Hillary or Bernie, just not as a republican.
Kasich will be our consolation prize.
We picked Trump or Cruz. But the GOPE-e said; “No Thanks”, and we are left with what was behind Door Number 3.
He would have made a good democrat 20 years ago, but probably still too conservative for todays’ rat party.
#neverkasich
I'm long past tolerating his moral preening and superiority complex. If Trump wins the nomination, he'd better not pick this lump of jello for his VP.
Kasich is nuts. Tell him he won the nomination and is now president, then wheel him off to a padded room.
its mathematically impossible for Kasich to win the 1,237 delegates
it is also Mathematically Impossible we had a Balanced Budget for 4 years , like he SAID HE DID:
John Kasich continually LIES when he says He and his fellow quislings in CONgress Balanced the Budget for four years in a row.

I’ll write in Trump.
This coming from the candidate who promises to: ‘finish the border.’
Hint, the border WAS finished in the 19th century.
Build the damn fence!

Kasich deserves one trophy, for Most Muscular Lips. In every photo that lower lip is working like an earth mover.
Kasich is the only American over the age of eight who punctuates his conversation with “You know what?”
