This three minute audio segment from NPR is called “Blind hiring, while well meaning, may create unintended consequences.”
It says that “blind hiring” is a process where job applicants are interviewed by computer instead of in person, so there is no bias regarding gender or race. Applicants are given online tests such as doing a math problem, or writing computer code.
I think this is a great idea.
In the NPR audio segment, the “unintended consequence” of “blind hiring” is explained by a black female college student, who complains that under “blind hiring,” she would not get special treatment.
In the comment section, someone wrote:
“The response of the black female student to blind hiring shows that in today’s job market male whites are not the privileged group.”
I think that commentor makes a great point.
It appears as if NPR has unintentionally revealed the existence of “black privilege.”

The underlying premise of affirmative action is that blacks are inferior and therefore cannot be held to the same standards as everyone else.
Math problem or write computer code?
No spelling test? That would weed-out many people. “Ahs relly needs dis job” would eliminate many! ;-)
So what exactly does your blog have to do with anything?
“Black Privilege” or “Blog Pimping” ...
...six of one, half dozen of the other.
At the casino I worked at, there were no black dealers. There were black wait-staff, housekeeping and food service, but not dealers. Apparently the simple math test you had to do to qualify weeded them out, and hand to God, I’m not joking.
Thanks grundle.
Black and women-privilege isn’t hidden. The 120,000 employee defense contractor I worked for openly stated they neede more minorities and women in positions of authority. That was about the time my division dropped from 1250 employees to 200 employees. The company’s”leadership” drove it off a cliff as a tribute to political correctness.
Guy posts a blog entry in the Bloggers section and gets zinged. What am I missing? I checked the blog out, it looks good to me, has been around for quite a while.
No, grammar issues doesn’t weed the losers out anymore. A manager where I worked would lead off every production meeting with “in the las pass sick mont.”
Communication is paramount for leaders in a high tech production environment. If one can’t speak or write coherently...
His posting history.
(*And* the fact that any other FReeper would have posted the NPR link in "News" and then offered what he wrote as a comment.)
Wrong — the underlying premise is that the only reason heterosexual Christian white males rose to supremacy is because they unfairly oppressed those not of their in-group; that Pygmies would probably have put one of their own on the moon on the same timetable, more or less, if not for honky unfairness, and that therefore extra help must be given to “minorities” to make up the disparity.
It’s a false premise, because the fact that blacks and hispanics don’t and can’t pass a firefighter’s promotion exam, even after hundreds of thousands of dollars are spent hiring diversity consultants to write it so questions are free of any trace of cultural bias, shows the actual inferiority which delusional cucks and agenda-driven leftists deny.
remind me many years ago I had a black co-worker... real good guy... network engineer like me....
But he was having a real bad day with his PC one time at work just getting totally frustrated ...we’ve all been there when the machine is just not behaving
they finally in just a fit of frustration ... he.blurts out, half in jest ...”this damn computer a racist!”....we all started busting up laughing
Note that the states have amended the Constitution to expressly prohibit both federal and state governments from establishing privileged or protected classes (my wording), which is the effect of such terms imo.
Article I, Section 9, Clause 8: No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States [emphasis added]: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.
Article I, Section 10, Clause 1: No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility [emphases added].
Corrupt lawmakers establish unconstitutional spending programs that benefit minorities and special-interest groups in order to win their votes imo.
At the company I worked for, the manager announced the next person hired for a tech position would be black. However, personnel insisted they would not forward only resumes of qualified white candidates, and we could not only interview black candidates.
So, we had to stage phony interviews of white candidates, when in fact there was no way the job was open to them.
I would never hire a Shartiqua or a Shitavious (real names by the way) in my shop.
I will take the racist label and go so far as to say I would never hire a college graduate that has graduated since the BLM crap took over the colleges.
Africa did invent jenkem. No other culture I am aware of has produced such a thing.
(look it up)
My blog is where I wrote the content.
Thanks!
So you saw something online and wrote about it on your blog.
Then you posted about it here.
My question stands. What does your blog have to do with anything?
