I don’t think it is bashing either candidate to point out that all of our candidates support no consequence abortion.

There was a time when that would render them totally unacceptable — all of them — to pro life conservatives.

But, even the pro-life organizations apparently accept no consequence abortion.

I submit they have had the wool pulled over our eyes for years.

One really has to wonder if ANY candidate is worthy of support.

One really has to wonder if ANY candidate is worthy of support.

No one is worthy. All men are flawed. Some more deeply than others. All men are hypocrites. Nobody can escape that.

What I want is someone who is simply more consistent than wavering. One who will seek God before making any decisions about anything important. One who is humble enough to know he is not worthy of the office to which he will be entrusted.

In the end, it is God who will change the hearts of our leaders and direct their paths.

I'm not sure any candidate on the slate is in that category. But surely this incessant hatred between the Cruz people and the Trump people has poisoned the well for the General election.

Character counts. What we need for president is a humble man who respects the Constitution and who believes firmly in respecting sacred life and who will make decisions on his knees.

If that is not Trump or Cruz, then I pray that someone of that character or closer to that character comes out of the convention.

Why? It says what it says. You have ti have 8 state majorities or you can absolutely NOT be placed in nomination. Right? THe rule will not be changed because the GOPe doesn’t control the floor of the convention. IMO. What is your reading of those clear words?

WEll ok Trump and cruz. I think you vastly overlook stealing votes from voters and some real mean delegate challenges on the floor but my point is made. Trump and Cruz are the only nominated candidates and you cannot vote for a person not in nomination. There will be no rule change because it will be blocked by the super majority Trump/ Cruz. If you are an unbound delegate you can vote for either Trump Or Cruz and no one else. If you are bound on the first ballot for anyone other that Trump/Cruz ( and many are so bound), You cannot vote!! The majority reduces the number necessary to nominate far below 1237 and I think Trump has an even better chance on the first ballot. This is not looking good for the GOPe and I could not care less. It is their rule they screwed Paul with and now they are the screwee.

And it does not bother you that the man you support is not qualified per the natural born clause?

Can you show me one court ruling that has said Cruz is not qualified?

Just remember we are on the same side. I wish Cruz would get behind Trump, and be his VP. He is young and will grow into a powerful presidential candidate when Trump would be done. I am just dreaming. Apart they are flawed and damaged. We could potential get 16 years of solid leadership that avoids doing crazy things like bringing in millions of muslims.

Hey DummycRat, this is the first time in history that the Republican Party is purposefully trying to thwart the front runner. And if you think that Cruz will be allowed to win the nomination after the lasts ballots are counted than you are dumber than a DummycRat.

All you need is to study history and our founders. The answer will be self evident.

Actually let me ask you this. If King George had knocked up some American citizen, do you truly believe the founders would consider that child a natural born citizen, able to hold the highest office in the land?

I have studied and have come to the opposite conclusion.

Hard to believe that if the people of Colorado were allowed their say and not just the Party apparatchiks, that Cruz would still be sweeping all the delegates. The disenfranchised Trump supporters there must be livid at all the insider trading.

There is nothing that Cruz is doing that Trump will now be doing, what with the bringing on Manafort, who has been around the block with the establishment more than a couple of times.

Trump could have and should have been doing this from the start. I sense that some of the ire directed at Cruz is coming from the realization that trump’s been outsmarted, and that’s hard to take when you know you’re the smartest guy in the room.

As trump will now be collecting delegates, will it still be considered cheating?
==

More delegate debate nonsense, VOTERS are choosing Trump, GoPe and it’s tool, Cruz gonna do what they gonna do, and we all lose.

They were allowed to get there say. By simple becoming a delegate and going to the caucus. They chose not to participate. This is not Cruzs fault but is the trump supporters fault.

But these stubborn facts get some Trump supporters upset enough to call Cruz a cheater. If they really cared enough to put the effort in then they could get Trump delegates. Since they dont care enough they lost all Colorados delegates to Cruz.

In the general election it is the get out the vote effort that gets you elected. I was called on primary day here in Michigan by the Cruz get out the vote staff.

Just remember we are on the same side.

Which side is that? I have not seen such hatred amongst Freepers since this forum was created. It is not enough to support your own candidate, but it seems that not only must the other candidate be destroyed, but that anyone who says anything positive about one candidate or the other must be insulted and made to be seen as a traitor or a paid shill.

Honestly, I hope neither of them gets the nomination at this point.

If they are on the same side, then they are a house divided against itself. That house cannot stand. You have God's word on that.

Graham was on TV this a.m. and they did a replay of him saying that if you stabbed Cruz in the senate and the senate was judge and jury no one would be convicted. There were other clips of politicians, etc. saying how much they hate Cruz. But Ms. Linda admitted he’s all they’ve got to stop Trump and save THE PARTY. Not the United States of America...THE PARTY. So they’re behind him for the reasons we already knew...this is all about saving a PRIVATE ENTITY that makes it’s own rules, that has betrayed us, let us be overrun by illegals, sold our jobs away, and run we taxpayers into insurmountable debt...all while they get richer and richer using the money WE have earned to do so.

Why...why would anyone in their right mind support this???

Good question!

Because they somehow think that their “right” candidate is going to rise above the GOPe and their convention rules like some kind of Superman....

For now they believe he can leap tall buildings so why do they or he care about the citizen votes—Superman uses the GOPe rules to win states, versus the will of the people.

However, it is clear from Gramnesty and others that the same GOPe that allowed tedster to pilfer delegates without regard to citizen votes will bite him at the convention.

What they have not figured out is that the GOPe leaders have pockets full of kryptonite, so even if he is Superman and not a GOPe hack, he will be weakened and set aside at the GOPe convention for one of the other Wisconsin pretty boyz.

Winning primaries is what counts, something that Cruz does a very poor job at doing.
