Trump announced his candidacy in June.

In the intervening months– rightly or wrongly, quoted out of context or otherwise– Trump has trolled every cross section of American society…

“Some, I assume, are good people”

“I like people who don’t get caught”

Eminent Domain

Mass deportation

Megyn Kelly is “bleeding from her wherever”

(SNIP)

PPP Trump Cruz Favorable 29 30 Unfavorable 63 58

(SNIP)

Voters have 30 years-worth of reasons to hate Trump and Hillary.

“High unfavorability w/ a relatively low profile suggests voters hate Ted Cruz…just for being Ted Cruz.”

HA!

Any Republican is going to have a high unfavorability rating in a general poll especially non-RINO non-establishment Republicans

At this point it just doesn’t make much difference; the contest is basically over. Slightly more than two weeks from now Cruz will have no mathematical path to a getting a majority before the convention. At that point Trump can argue correctly that a vote for Cruz is a vote to allow the GOP establishment to decide who the nominee is. At that point a vote for Cruz will mean that nothing in Washington DC will change regardless of whether Hillary or the GOP Stooge wins. We will continue on the path to destruction that has been set by the party bosses.

Trump needs to begin courting Cruz’s followers now. He should announce that his first nominee to the Supreme Court will be Ted Cruz. The Supreme Court is the position where Ted Cruz will be able to help halt the slaughter of millions of unborn babies every year in this country. Then he needs to declare that if people want the Cruz nomination to be successful they will need to vote for Republican Senators. And if they want to him to successfully reform the federal government they will need to support Republican congressmen.

Trump and Cruz must unite if we want to defeat the Democrats. They need to nurture a strong coalition that will allow them to change the direction of the country. That is what the people want. Together we will win.

You are right about unity, but I don’t think Cruz’s GOPe masters will allow that ...they have already struck a deal with Cruz

I’d vote for Bill Murray.

Make America Laugh Again.

3 or 4 months, most folks thought Trump/Cruz or Cruz/Trump was thought to be a winning ticket. I hope that finally, after all this ugliness, these two great Americans can sit down man-to-man and sort things out!

I think that Trump is signaling that he is ready for a truce. It only makes sense; in two weeks Cruz likely will have no mathematical way to get a majority of delegates before the convention. Cruz should be looking at ways to preserve his political clout. Trump should be looking at ways to give Cruz supporters a reason to vote for him. He should announce that his first nominee to the Supreme Court will be Cruz. The Supreme Court is where Cruz could do the most to help stop the slaughter of millions of unborn babies.
