Breaking Rubio allies drop lawsuit keeping Kasich from Pennsylvania presidential primary ballot

Despite the John Kasich campaign admitting they did not provide enough signatures to give Kasich legal access to the Pennsylvania primary ballot, the state law only keeps the candidate off the ballot if it is legally challenged.

Previously, team Rubio in Pennsylvania filed such a challenge and Kasich was legally kept off ballot. Today the Rubio allies withdrew their petition (legal challenge).

As a consequence Ohio Governor John Kasich will be allowed on the PA ballot despite not having met the signature threshold for placement.

Does it help Mr. Trump to let Kasich stay in? Wouldn’t Kasich split the vote between him and Cruz?

Everything you say about Kasich is true. But there's something else. There's a whole lot of ruthless backstabber behind that "aw shucks" routine. He rules OH a lot like Obama rules the nation. He's not even hiding that his path to the nomination is a brokered convention (and my PS: a whole lot of dirty dealing)

The only reason he's still standing is everyone thought he was too insignificant to bother with, and they're still thinking that. DON'T....he'll do whatever it takes.

Strategy of the dems, vote Kasich to stop Trump. They just put him over the top in Ohio and they will do it again in PA

Correct. A whole lot of Rubio supporters thought he was a conservative and liked his polite schoolboy personality.

FWIW, Pennsylvania has a closed primary. Democrats have about eight days remaining to register as Republicans.
