The old conventional wisdom was that Ted Cruz was too disliked by official Washington, too hard-lined conservative, to get the support of the Republican establishment. The new conventional wisdom has the Republican Party movers and shakers turning to Cruz and saying, in effect, “Help us, Senator Ted Cruz. You’re our only hope.”

Is that the same Bush ground game and access that helped Jeb so well?

Washington establishment hates Cruz more than Trump.

Cruz is the conservative, Trump is the deal maker.

This is either the establishment hoping the two leaders split the vote and result in a contested convention.

Or this is a false flag attack by Trump people trying to mark Cruz as establishment.

The way I remember it, the ‘76 nominee was decided at the convention and Ford barely won.

Ok now that I dug a bit it seems that most delegates were not bound on the first ballot as they are now.

The corrupt establishment is scared out of their wits at the thought of an American who loves his country getting into the WH.

Ted’s record indicates sympathy for all of the forgoing policies.

...that’s ahhh, FALSE, but you know that as a hatin’ troll.
His record PROVES the opposite on all three issues... but you knew that before you posted the smear.

WaPo delegate count, so far:

Trump 458
Cruz 359
Rubio 151
Kasich 54

==

No joy in Mudville last night. The efforts to stop the Trump train struck out.

==

Trump has 37% of the delegates needed for nomination. That strikes panic in ‘mudville’.

Cruz 29%.

Rubio 12%

Kasich 04%

Nope

Same ground game that won Prescott Bush several terms as Senator, GHW Bush several terms in the Senate, the VP slot for 8 years and a term as President, GW Bush two terms as Gov of Texas and two terms as President.

Jeb Bush was a moron who hired morons.

They came up with the brilliant strategy of running against their base with the goals of losing the Republican Primaries in order to win the general election .

They spent North of 200 million executing that strategy so brilliantly that Jeb had lost the Primaries before super Tuesday.

He supported H1B expansion until Cantor was defeated by Brat in the primary. He voted for the Corker Bill, he uses lawyer speak to make it seem that he opposed trade deals. I have found that many Freepers including Trump supporters toss the “troll” epithet around to avoid factual discussions. Consider this a message from one troll to another. PS, I contributed to Cruz’s Senate and Presidential campaigns and have supported Cruz until December 2015 and he is still my second choice.

Heidi Cruz is Golden Sacks, and North American Union

... I know you tRumpsters don’t care about facts or truth, but have you even looked at the free market commentary that was the ONLY contribution that Heidi (and Ted) made to the CFR paper on NAU? Quit swallowing the smear and read just a little.... you’ll feel better, really....

Ted Cruz has been and always will be an establishment candidate. His resume speaks for itself. He was intended to be the conservative foil to get the nomination for Jeb. Now that that plan has failed the Bushes are asserting themselves in an attempt to control the process and get their man the nomination.

IF you don’t understand the tactics on HB1, then you don’t really understand legislative fights. At leasr he’s your number 2. I never avoid factual discussions but you just did based on your “assessment”... that’s okay opinions are like , etc...
