Trump: "I’m changing it, and I’m softening the position" - what is he changing and softening?
March 4, 2016 | self

He stated this morning that he wasn't talking about H-1B:"Megyn Kelly asked about highly-skilled immigration. The H-1B program is neither high-skilled nor immigration".

So what WAS he talking about? What's his new position and how was his old position different? Will he ever tell us?

The fact remains. Had Trump been in elected office in the last 20 years his positions would make him to the left of most Republicans.

Spin it anyway you want. Bring up a few votes that even those of us who back Cruz question. Ignore all of Trump’s past positions, contributions, statements and tell me he’s evolved. But it is what it is and there’s no denying it.

Sad but true. Trump supporters have chosen their god.

And odd god, but he’s their god.

They don’t want to know about his policies.

They are still back at ...’it will be great; it will be wonderful.’

Policies are hard.

‘It will be wonderful’ is simple and really, really nice.

Yes. How is that not possible?

It’s called modifying a position, adjusting it, fine tuning it.

Just because I tune my car that doesn’t mean it wasn’t working before. Just making it work better.

You don’t know the difference between 90% and 100% do you?

Using that scale, obumber has a conservative rating of 80%. TPA and the corker bill where no little things, the were the most significant and most destructive pieces of legislation to pass in Congress in the last two years.

There is no way Texes knowingly elects a Canadian citizen as their Senator. cruz knew that and that is why he did not tell Texas he was a Canadian when he ran for the Senate. Then there was the blatant lie that he did not know he was a Canadian citizen until 2014. Please! how stupid does he think Americans are, not withstanding you.

To Trump, useful people are people who will work for low wages and short hours to do the jobs that ‘Americans’ won’t do.

Except that they would if illegals didn’t already have them.

Go, Trump.

Far away

Spin it anyway you want. Bring up a few votes that even those of us who back Cruz question.

I repeat: TPA and the corker bill where no little things, the were the most significant and most destructive pieces of legislation to pass in Congress in the last two years.

Do you really believe cruz voted for TPA and the corker bill because that is what is constituents wanted?

Please. I know you went to a lot of trouble to write that up.

But I’ve seen it posted too many times and it has nothing to do with the current topic .. H-1B

So very true.

Trumpers believe that by voting Trump they are somehow taking it to ‘the man.’

Which would be okay if it were true, but what they are really doing is giving it to the ‘Other Man’ who will screw them over more than the original ‘man.’

Those all seem like great policies to me.

Does anyone have an objection to them, or think they are in some way flawed?

Anyone? Trumpettes?

Jo, baby, get another stick. You’ve posted the same old arguments against Cruz for two months.

Hasn’t he done anything lately that you hate?

I keep bringing them up because TPA and the corker bill where no little things, they were the most significant and most destructive pieces of legislation to pass in Congress in the last two years.

The GOPe has been flexible.Flexibility allows one to stick ones own head where the sun don’t shine. That has been the big problem. Now it’s a an advantage? Flexibility is always to the left. Give me at least status quo rigid.

But Trump is bragging about flexibility. Is it good or bad.

Sometimes posts are a little cryptic.

re””....I think it’s because he sees Trump as the likely winner and reckons an early seat at the table is the best way of moving Sessions’ policies forward. Since I won’t have a seat at anyone’s table.... “”

Sessions could have remained neutral or he could have seen this:

No, the website didn’t talk at all about F1 Visas. The part of Trump’s position that was on Trump’s website was H1B visas. He didn’t mention H1Bs at all during the debate. It wasn’t part of the question or the answer.

OK. Fair enough. I was wrong, and I am willing to admit it when I am wrong. Thank you for the very clear, concise, and informative correction.
