Glenn Beck, Brownshirts, and Reality [vanity]

Posted on 03/01/2016 4:02:14 AM PST by Arthur Wildfire! March

Multiple FRiends are beginning to agree with Glenn Beck that the brownshirts are coming. First off they are essentially here already. One group is the New Black Panthers. But yes, there is a danger of anti-muslim brownshirts coming. Just not the way Glenn Beck thinks.

Part of the brownshirt psychology was a persecuted scapegoat -- the Jew. That's what made the nazis more vicious than the Italian facists.

This is how I perceive the early nazi movement:

Militaristic uniforms, marching in storm trooper squadrons, picking fights, inciting riots, and forcing people to say 'Heil Hitler!'

That was BEFORE Hitler came into power as I understand it. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

~~~
The Real Brown Shirt Threat
Germany and Sweden are more likely to fall into dictatorships than we are. Note how the Oregon Militia was taken down so easily. People in the US are hopeful and refused to support them. But Germany, to me, is the trial canary, not so much because of post-Weimar history, but because of current violence.
Muslim Migrants ATTACK Refugee Centre Workers After Their Weekly Entitlement Payment is Delayed http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3402529/posts The payments were delayed because many of these migrants had violated house rules. One can only imagine ... Paying off the hordes with jizya payments is bad enough. But with multiple names, multiple papers, 'there are indications that some men were wrongly drawing several asylum benefits – payments.' [snip]
~~~

More to the point, in Sweden 200 masked men swarmed over a muslim gang and beat them. That's actually healthy defiance IMHO. But if the Swedish backlash is led poorly, it could result in a facist dictatorship.

~~~
Even more troubling ...
Mob cheers as fire engulfs refugee center in Germany http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3400033/posts
'... Police forces ordered three people to leave the scene for obstructing emergency services and detained two intoxicated 20-year-old localsfor ignoring the order.
Investigators believe the fire was caused by arson ...'
[snip]
~~~

Yes, many posts on that thread were favorable of the German backlash, but does that spill over to similar action in the US?

I seriously doubt it. A facist scapegoater would be firing up bloodlust. Nazi propaganda was similar to KKK dehumanization tactics. Brownshirts would incite riots to descecrate mosques and mass beatings of muslims. They would peddle cartoon sheets to dehumanize muslims. It would not be isolated but almost regimented and routine. Trump supporters are nowhere close to the kind of agitprop that would result in a muslim holocaust.

We do suffer from occassional terror attacks, but we don't routinely suffer from the mass outrages that Germany does. Nor has the president scolded us into putting our females into burkas [essentially what Merkel is doing]. Our goal is to prevent such outrages. Prevention is far more humane than a ruthless backlash.

~~~
Putin and Europe
You want to see a nation on the verge of racial facism? Germany all over again. But it also spills out to the entire EU. What makes this worse is that Putin eggs them on and offers financial assistance to any European leader who agrees with him. He could become Hitler on Steroids, this time persecuting not only muslims, but also homosexuals. The Ruling Class has pandered to them for so long that they are the ideal scapegoats.
Despite all of that there still might be hope for Germany. This is going to tick off some people, but the best way the US can help them is to elect President Donald Trump.
Even as a candidate, his call for a muslim ban got their attention. They will watch closely when he demonstrates a humane way to restore national sovereignty and common sense. His leadership would help inspire Europeans to kick out their current Ruling Class and replace them with anti-immigration leaders who would be united with Trump's vision. The bonds between the US and Europe could reach record levels.
It also goes deeper than that.
Even if Trump were the monster some people say he is, he does not want discord endangering the world economy. He will desire stability in Europe, which in turn benefits the US not only economically but also geopolitically. The more nations which remain free and non-shariah, the better off the US will be. Sure, he might not know what 'geopolitics' means yet, but soon he will. A quick study, he would soon become a master of the field.
A President Trump would encourage the leaders of Europe to secure their own borders as well and begin mass deportations. He's been openly concerned about Europe. And while he's been friendly with Putin, he will not want Russia forming a newer and larger 'Soviet Bloc' that would be united in its hatreds.
Putin and Trump would probably be similar in ways to Kruschev and Ike. I hope that with Trump it turns out better. Regardless, he will put America first.
According to Solomon, travel broadens the mind. When you step out and look at other nations, you get a fresh perspective. We are not as bad off as Germany at the moment. Nor are we as inhuman as they are becoming. Not yet.
Then we need to end the globalist assault on our institutions, because THAT is what happened in Germany. They kept disbanding and undermining something like the parliament (if memory serves), and operating on emergency powers, ANYTHING for the elite to not give up power. Hitler himself was viewed as a controllable rube, sort of how the GOPe views Rubio only in Hitler’s case, he had other ideas. He was a loser that they let into power.
I have more serious fear that Cruz who voted for Coker and TPA and wrote a glowing editorial on Roberts will not do what he says. He is a career government employee. He and his wife have too many globalist connections. I respect your right to your opinion. It does not justify either side being vicious.
Americans who don’t belong to the gimmedats group have been fearful for a long time of losing their country. There are sections of our own country where we can’t go because of violent cartels or violent blacks. We have been lied to every election by career politicians. Time to try something different. My vote for Trump is based on hope not fear.
Muslims have been colonizing Europe for 20+ years. Many have been elected to public office. In Europe, free speech does not exist. You’ll be arrested for speaking out against Islam. Europeans are castrated sheep who are not allowed to arm themselves with pepper spray let alone firearms. There are millions of second and third generation Muslims in England and France, many of whom are calling for Sharia law. I’d love to think Europe can overcome those kinds of numbers, but I don’t see it happening without another world war and complete decimation.
Are brownshirts marching around demanding people to submit?
Sounds more like what Joel’s Army is planning.
There is a sickness in the U.S. and it's called progressivism/liberalism/compassionate conservatism. It is literally destroying the greatest nation ever. When will we take up arms to stop it?
Watch this: The Pegida Anti-Immigration Movement Splits Germany | The New York Times
It is about a German father who joins PEGIDA and then there are shots of his daughter crying over this essentially calling her own father a racist for wanting to preserve his heritage. The same thing is happening here. Children are being trained to believe that wanting to preserve the U.S. is racist.
“Contrary to popular leftist belief, europeans are generally more racist than americans.”
Yes. They didn’t get flooded with immigrants before the way we had from our foundation. This social experiment of massive immigration is a new experience to them. They never before understood the situation that the Serbs faced under Tito when Muslims transformed from a minority to 90% of Kosovo’s population. The Serb backlash seemed barbaric to Europeans. Which it was. But now they can better appreciate the situation.
” perhaps a few Jews did scheme “ [prior to rise of Nazis].
‘I imagine some did so but no more than any other group.’
They were half starved and destitute. The restraint the Jews practiced in not being more criminal should be to to their credit.
‘Then we need to end the globalist assault on our institutions, because THAT is what happened in Germany.’
Certainly. I look forward to seeing Trump v the United Nations. He might not realize what they are really like, but he soon will.
I posted earlier that Trump will find himself in a much uglier world the moment he enters the Oval Office, and that his shouts will be heard out in the streets. But frankly? Most new patriotic presidents would be pathetic rather than angry. They would lean on their advisors and ranting irrationally, quivering like President Logan in Twenty Four.
‘We told you so’, Eastern Europe tells Germany
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3382644/posts
[Anger directed not at the European people so much as at their Euro-Tyrant Establishment which suppresses free speech.]
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said in his weekly radio interview that it was proof of a crisis of liberalism that reporting of the sexual assaults in Cologne had been suppressed in Germany, adding that the press in Hungary is much freer than that in western Europe.
Orban added that Hungary is in the right on the refugee issue and that migration into Europe must be completely stopped.
Hungarian media went even further in its criticism of the German government.
Orban ally Zsolt Bayer described the Cologne attackers as North African and Arabic animals - nothing but hyenas, in an article for Magyap Hirlap newspaper, Spiegel reports.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel is letting her family and children get eaten by hyenas, he wrote.
‘There are no bastards on this earth more abominable and more destructive than these liberal pigs who are digging Europe’s grave,’ wrote another paper Magyar ...
And if it is an accurate portrayal, then Trump is about as 'nazi' as Truman was during WWII.
In that time frame, I think of Trump as being closer to a Calvin Coolidge with a more flamboyant personality.
It's way beyond my pay grade and need to know, but, given our situation and his skills, Trump just might be the exactly right person the times call for.
We'll just have to wait and see, but in the meantime at least the show is now very entertaining for most of the right reasons.
And that's already better than I dared hope for a year ago!
Glenn Beck is a new sort of televangelist.
He’s an end-times type doomer, and really much more of a threat to go all ‘Mein Kampf’ than some of the people he lists. An excellent example of what happens when paranoia is substituted for patriotic vigilance. He sees a NAZI behind every bush, or at least claims he does. Given his recent antics, you really have to wonder how sincere it all is.
He does apparently get that the US is becoming ripe for demagoguery. He completely misses the cause-effect relationship for why that is happening. 25 years of essentially one-party rule have brought this on us.
‘Make America Great Again’ is about laying economic foundations that truly raise all boats again. When times are good, demagogues get no traction. One has to wonder if Beck really wants to see that, though. His act also would not sell well if things were better in the US.
