Losers aren't Winners.

Carson is a loser.

I want Herman Cain.

He’ll do even more about the tax code. He’d be a wonderful president.

Is being modest and self spoken really a qualifier for picking someone for VP?

Carson adds nothing.

c’mon...Trump has said he wants a political partner to balance his business side. Trump/Palin with Newt as consultant.

It doesn't work. You can't have two outsiders without it being an issue. Just like you can't have a Cuban/Canadian/American and a Cuban American....eligibility would bother a lot more voters if it's both of them.

I'd love to see Dr. Carson as Surgeon General, HHS Secretary or cleaning up Veterans Affairs benefits.

Much as I like Carson as a person, he, unfortunately, brings nothing to the table that would help Trump. Plus, Carson would get destroyed in a debate against whoever Hilly chooses as her VP, he is too nice and soft spoken.

Trump/Kasich? The Donald has complimented him many times in the past. I’m ok with Carson- Herman Cain would be a great VP pick IMO.

It’s gonna be John Kasich because of Ohio. No Republican has ever won the White House without winning Ohio.

Carson may be a “nice guy”, but he has no conservative political background experience. Trump needs to pick a VP that is a strong conservative and one who has exceptional, PROVEN, conservative political experience.

I don’t think so beause they are both outsiders, and Carson doesn’t bring much that Trump doesn’t already have.

Now I’ll really get people upset, but: Kasich.

Kasich has a long resume INside goverment at the state and national level as well as in business. He understand Trumps language and would bring administrative experience that would be helpful in restructuring and streamlining government. He has done a great job as Governor of Ohio.

Sure he’s a little wimpy and on the kum-bay-ya side, but he’d have a great strong Boss who’d call the shots. And he could bring a purple state that Trump will need in the general election. He’s got a similar demeanor to Carson’s, which would balance out the boldness of Trump for those who feel that’s a problem.

The VP does not set the policy direction - tell me one thing Joe Biden or Al Gore did other than show up?

Selecting a VP is not personal, it’s business.

He already said he’s going to pick a “POLITICIAN”, someone in politics already.

He wants someone to ‘consult’ with him about the ‘politics structure’.

That is a very SMART move if he intends to accomplish what he needs and wants to accomplish.

He will need to deal with the “politicians” to get legislation passed, so he’s going to select a VP who “knows” the process.

I bet it will be a Senator or a Governor for VP.

Trump is a pragmatist who also happens to believe he's convinced us that he's a legitimate conservative. He's going to pick a running mate based on the perceived need to coalesce the conservatives and the establishment. He'll do this by choosing a member of the establishment to run with.

He'll pick Kasich to deliver Ohio, the squishy morons in the middle, and the establishment. He needs them all if he's going to win. Trying to win with just 35-40% of the true believers won't work against Hillary. Being forced to listen Kasich for at least the next 4 years will be intolerable.
