President Trump and Vice President Carson will be an excellent team. Each has qualities the other lacks: Carson is modest and soft spoken, Trump is not. Trump knows how business works and how to negotiate deals. Carson does not. Both love America and want to help us to make her great again.

All too often, our perceptions of candidates are based, not on what they actually say and do, but on what opposing candidates and their supporters claim.

Oh well.

Here are Newt Gingrich's remarks on Trump's future after his South Carolina Republican primary win.

Don't want Trump/Carson? Then let's just keep things the way they are because the country's in the very best of hands. Isn't it?

Excuse me. I need some medicine.

Carson is a loser.
I want Herman Cain.
He’ll do even more about the tax code. He’d be a wonderful president.
I bet his VP pick will be Sessions.
Is being modest and self spoken really a qualifier for picking someone for VP?
Carson adds nothing.
Seriously, you’re a lot more likely to see Trump/Rubio
Sessions would be a GREAT choice...and Trump has already says he wants a politician - that one businessman is enough. Trump will need someone who knows how to navigate Congress. Trump’s VP will be as LBJ was to JFK.
Zero percent chance of Sessions. Some people here are pimping Sessions. I wish they’d stop.
Need someone younger, who adds something to the ticket. That ain’t Sessions.
c’mon...Trump has said he wants a political partner to balance his business side. Trump/Palin with Newt as consultant.
I'd love to see Dr. Carson as Surgeon General, HHS Secretary or cleaning up Veterans Affairs benefits.
No. Just no.
The other thing about Jeff Sessions is that Trump will need Jeff Sessions in the US Senate in order to be able to clean up that sewer.
Much as I like Carson as a person, he, unfortunately, brings nothing to the table that would help Trump. Plus, Carson would get destroyed in a debate against whoever Hilly chooses as her VP, he is too nice and soft spoken.
I could understand Rubio. Not necessarily like it.
But Trump’s immigration policy would have to remain unscathed and be fully implemented.
It would add to the ticket.
Replace Rubio’s stance on immigration with Trump and you may have a decent VP and ultimately, Trump’s successor.
Trump has already signaled that he thought he'd likely choose a politican (we only need one of me) and that it would be from a battleground state.
My other bet is Kasich.
Trump/Kasich? The Donald has complimented him many times in the past. I’m ok with Carson- Herman Cain would be a great VP pick IMO.
It’s gonna be John Kasich because of Ohio. No Republican has ever won the White House without winning Ohio.
Carson may be a “nice guy”, but he has no conservative political background experience. Trump needs to pick a VP that is a strong conservative and one who has exceptional, PROVEN, conservative political experience.
A freaking-men
I hope Trump picks a VP that would continue his stance on immigration should the emergency arise, which is why I said Sessions, but I see your point for sure.
I don’t think Cruz would be his choice due to the birther issue - no point in having to fight that battle with the Rats in the general. But that New York meeting at the beginning of the race was for a reason.
If he chooses a politician as he said he would, who is your guess?
