Jeb Bush PAC Internal Poll Has Ted Cruz Now Just Two Points Behind Trump South Carolina...
Reaganite Republican ^ | 15 February 2015 | Reaganite Republican

Posted on 02/15/2016 4:11:09 AM PST by Reaganite Republican

If you'll recall, Newt came from behind
and surprised everybody there last time too...

According to Howard Kurtz at Fox a pro-Bush PAC has handed Jeb's campaign a polling report that has Ted Cruz surging in South Carolina...
an entirely different picture painted by dubious public polls:
Trump 26%
Cruz    24

Jeb      12

Rubio  11
I know Trumpsters are just going to dismiss this with their standard condescending, all-knowing snarky chuckle,
BUT I would suggest that if Trump doesn't take South Carolina, he's in
one hell of lot of trouble... SC is an open primary,
which helps a liberal Republican like Donald Trump-
as it clearly did in New Hampshire

Since he's not a conservative, these states are vital for The Donald-
mixed primaries actually represent his 'base', as it is.

If Trump can't win SC, how's he ever going to conquer Dixie?

With Evangelicals slowly coming to their senses, the next five weeks look very, very favorable to Senator Cruz.

I would also hazard to say that many GOPers will now have SCOTUS nominations on their mind... so any social conservative with
a lick of sense would never empower Trump to go and put his liberal, pro-abortion sister

-or anybody like her- on the US Supreme Court... would they?

In contrast, most reality-dwellers know they can trust Ted Cruz to select a qualified, talented constitutional conservative for any open seat...
no doubt.

As the rancid Obama regime promptly sets to scheming in the wake of Justice Scalia's highly suspicious passing this weekend...
Ted Cruz has already pledged to filibuster any Obama nominee, so as to provide The People
a word in all this. What's not to love?

Ted Cruz: right hero at the right time...

Is this the same PAC that has waste over $100 Million on worthless advertising? Cruz will be lucky to finish 3rd in SC.

Lol!

This canard again.

New Hampshire doesn’t count...because Evangelical.

OK.

Tells you something about the Cruz side that he himself can’t sway the vote, but they have to depend on religious stereotypes and their collective perception of a debate they echo to each other to defy what all the polls tell them.

Why do 66% evangelicals in SC keep re-electing the gay Lindsey Graham? Kind of makes you wonder how those evangelicals view things, doesn’t it? Likely not the cake walk some Cruz supporters think.

Evangelical predominance theory?

Wow.. take off the tin foil hat there...

Speaking for myself an imperfect Christian who knows alot of other Christians....

If a person is running that has more solid Christian values that is running for public office, and it does not appear to be just pandering. Christians as a whole recognize this and will turn out and vote more. If Trump gets the nomination he will surely get Christians to vote for him in opposition to Clinton/Sanders, but it will not be a groundswell of Christian support.

Also anybody that says "The evangelicals love me" comes off sounding phony. I don't refer to fellow Christians as "The Evangelicals"

Evangelical isn’t a religion, not a denomination, isn’t even a defined group. They dont act the same, nor coordinate, and they aren’t brainless.

Evangelical is little more than just another version of “black” to these guys. They will vote for Cruz reflexively like a black person is supposed to vote for the black guy.

Not sure who made batman style graphic, but when you squish the Cruz icon, it completely changes the meaning.

If Jeb’s poll has him surging to the point where only 88% aren’t going to vote for him, why is he still in the race?

New Hampshire - 22% Evangelical South Carolina - 66% Evangelical

Then what was this for? You certainly meant to imply 'something' evangelical about it. (e.g., how Trump will get his comeuppance because he's a heathen or something?) - that God's evangelicals in SC will put Trump in his place. Just do it next week and shut up about it, then.

This was bloggers/personal forum, not religion, so I don't need your personal pontifications about religion, piety, and casting stones against others.

The only hope for either GOPe candidate at this point (realistically only Jeb! or Rubio) is for Cruz to slow Trump down enough for there to be turmoil in latter primaries and/or an opening for a brokered convention.

There’s no chance that Rubio or Jeb! is closing on Trump in SC, so this leak (and probably to some degree generated “result”) is purely intended to increase the chances of that.

Propaganda at its finest.

If Cruz gains momentum, there is still a chance for either Rubio or Jeb!—and that’s why Jeb! is still in it and still trying to slow Trump down.

A lot of military supporters have come to realize that our current unsafety is directly linked to bush’s failed military strategy in the Middle East

GWB is the guy who framed the infamous phrase “ religion of peace” as he piously invited imams to the 9-11 national mourning service

What we don’t need is another Bush sending another generation of our husbands wives and kids to war to remove Bashir Al Assad

Especially the happy post turtle who believes obama deserves TLC because that’s how the Establshment Ol’ Boy club operates

Jeb is trying to get Trump and Cruz to destroy each other by spreading rumors that the race is close.

Jeb probably spent a couple of million for this poll.

He has as much respect for donors' money as Bill Clinton has for women.

I guess we’ll find out soon enough from the only poll that matters.

Personally I’ve always viewed “internal polling” as a sales pitch for more donations. Looks like Jeb is so pissed at this point he’d rather see Cruz get his PAC money than Trump win SC.

Ted Cruz is not going to win SC or, anywhere in the south....Cruz will get slaughtered by any Democrat in the general election. He has a very limited base of voters.....and he is not attractive or acceptable to the mass of the American voters, as Trump is...

Trump/s crossover votes are everything.....Cruz cannot ever hope to get them. For Cruz to ace SC he/d have to resort to even dirtier tricks than he used in Iowa. Cruz/s incessant overbearing campaign seems to be determined to prove something to himself. Maybe its a Canadian-latino/s lack of self-esteem. Who knows? But the Oval Office is definitely not the place to go find your human potential.

==============================================

An oft-repeated FR rant is from those who say they don/t like Cruz but don/t know why. The reasons for those lingering doubts and why he isn't doing better in SC:

<><> Cruz/s industrial strength narcissistic personality.

<><> his lifelong self-absorption.

<><> putting himself first above others, always acting as
if he were better and smarter than the rest of humanity....

<><> a snob in spades....feeling he is destined for great things.

<><> Cruz wouldn/t play team sports b/c he/d share the glory with others.

<><> His vaunted debate championship was not in the National Debate Tournament of 2-person teams;

<><> Cruz debated in a Canadian tournament where he received all the credit himself.

<><> his reputation in the Senate....where most of his Senate colleagues despise him....is well-deserved. (hat tip bigbob)
