Rubio Hits Cruz With a Surprise Left Hook: ‘He Doesn't Speak Spanish’ Watch How Cruz Responds

GOP presidential contenders Sens. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio continued their ongoing feud over immigration during Saturday night’s debate, but as the vocal South Carolina audience got involved, the pair let the insults fly. Cruz said Rubio “supports citizenship for 12 million people here illegally. In addition to that, Marco went on Univision in Spanish and said he would not rescind President Obama’s illegal executive amnesty on his first day in office,” Cruz said. “I have promised to rescind every single executive action, including that one.” Rubio wasn’t having any of that. “Well first of all,” the Florida senator replied, “I don’t know how he knows what I said on Univision because he doesn’t speak Spanish.” With that, Cruz responds to Rubio in Spanish.

"Does President Obama speak Spanish?"

Oh, yeah! He celebrated "Cinco de Cuatro" - that's a big holiday in Mexico or someplace.

Its not reasonable to expect Cruz to sit there and let Rubio get off his laugh line without responding.

But Cruz commented on something Rubio said in Spanish on Univision. Rubio said Cruz wouldn’t know what he said because he doesn’t speak Spanish. Cruz promptly responded in Spanish.

I thought that was one of Cruz's best moments in the debate. No, he wasn't pandering to Hispanics - Rubio threw that statement out there and Cruz called his bluff. Had Rubio not said what he did, Cruz would not have uttered a word of Spanish last night.

Tu botas son preciosas?

Your boots are pretty?
You mean ¿Son preciosas tus botas?

I CAN write in Spanish...and correctly, but how in the world does a "niteowl" know how to write espanol?

Ay, caray, the upside down question mark and tilde over the "n" don't work.

I guess you missed the whole point. Cruz said Rubio said something to a group in Spanish that Rubio claims he never said. Then Rubio said to Cruz, in effect, you don’t speak Spanish (ergo what the hell do you know abut what I said) Cruz responded back to Rubio in Spanish something I didn’t get.

It’s so important that a conservative anti-establishment Republican gets nominated and beats the Democrats. Right now,
there are only three: Cruz, Rubio and Trump. But the way they are attacking each other over incidental crap and slinging lies and half-truths, that total idiot Jeb is going to get nominated and LOOSE.

"Austrian" is GERMAN. That's what the "Governator" and seven-time Mr. Universe spoke. Jawohl.

YES. This is a major flaw in this nomination system since Hitlery can (and will) repeat the bad things said about the final GOP candidate by his PEERS.

Oh I understand his point. Anything he says in Spanish can only be spoken about by those that speak Spanish. Oh and Rubio IS GOPe. That’s how he got caught up in the gang of 8 crap.

Lol. Cinco de mayo...or, stinko de mayo, whichever you prefer.
From Google:
Mexican independence is celebrated Sept.16.
Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) commemorates the Mexican army 's unlikely victory over the French forces of Napoleon III on May 5, 1862, at the Battle of Puebla.
