Why NH Should Vote for Ted Cruz and not Donald Trump
Granite Grok ^ | February 7, 2016 | Steve MacDonald

Posted on 02/08/2016 6:27:11 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Ted Cruz knows that you are the best hope for saving America. But to do that you need a president willing to get the government out of the way so that you can.

"... just like the left, Donald Trump's solutions are all built on the "smarts" of certain gifted people and then empowering those people to navigate the world for the masses. By contrast Ted Cruz' campaign is built on the strength of a set of ideas, where rights, power and responsibility belong to every citizen, not just the gifted few. This is the self-governing model our nation was founded upon, which produced the most free and prosperous nation in history.

America does not merely need "smart" people to try to run our unworkable government and guide every aspect of our lives; America needs to return to smart ideas. A great step in that direction would be teaming up with Ted Cruz who, more than any other candidate still running, has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to limiting government corruption the only way possible - limiting government. Unlike most candidates this election, Ted Cruz has never promised to be the savior of America, rather he always points to the ideas that made America." “The most recent polls matching Cruz against Hillary, e.g., show him with a 7 pt advantage.”

Well, I hope those polls are right, but of the people I know, they’re not involved with Cruz at all.

A slug should be able to beat hrc. But Cruz seems to be pretty much unknown among the people I know. He seems to have a lot of ground to make upo.

Kenny i’m hopeful you can invite Diogenesis and dynoman to join you in this learning lesson that we might clear up a lot of ignorance concerning a single issue at one time.

So you;re defending TPA? You’re defending giving Obama one more tool he desperately wanted? If Cruz and Rubio were onto this President, if they were so anti-Obama, why give him one iota of power he didn’t already have?

TPA gave Obama Fast Track, it gave us the Iran deal and with this bunch of bought-and-paid for traitors in Congress it will give us TPP. There is no defense for TPA. Nothing it can give the next President is worth what we gave Obama.

btw, don’t try insulting me into compliance, that’s an Alinsky method that’s been overused by Dems thus very recognizable.

Quit wasting your breath with compliance BS and look at the facts! No matter what Obama does with TPA it can be recinded and corrected with a Republican President,a Republican president would never have been able to get it thru congress. The bottom line is it is going to be a useful tool no matter who the Republican president is! Is this starting to sink in?

I am shocked thinking people do not see the power these big money donors have on candidates. Club for Growth is one of the biggest pusher of the cheap labor express of low wage immigrants, legal and illegal.

Your logic is upside down. Main reason Ronald Reagan had landslides is because of democrat voters crossing over.

Name the year Trump held any elective position to achieve something in congress or white house?

You have to be elected first! Cart must follow the horse.

The bottom line hear Kenny is the incoming Republican President would be locked into deals already in place without the TPA.

I agree and it’s been 32 years since Reagan was elected to his 2nd term. Any conservative presidents since then? 1/3 century.

Well the “take no prisoners” can keep trying. It will probably be another 32 years if they pass on Donald Trump.

It is truly amazing, to me, how many here are now on the COC/Cheap Labor Express bandwagon.

Club for Growth = amnesty

CRuz’s latest PAC is led by former Mitch McConnell atty/COC treasurer Eric Lycom.

Hellloooooo????

Point missed again. If you are not independently wealthy you can still run a grass roots campaign.

Example: Bernie Sanders....he does not accept money from ultra-rich donors and is still beating Hillary, who is the epitome of accepting big money from all over.

When a candidate accepts millions of dollars form Rich donors, you bet your bippy he is subservient to the rich donor class. Why do you think the middle class has been getting screwed for 3 decades??

Every time i see that line of reasoning, i wonder what does it mean if the next election cycle Mark Zuckerberg is the only candidate self financing?

It isn’t a matter of “getting glasses.” It’s the truth and if you cared to, you can do your own research. But, since you are too lazy and have your head in the sand - I guess that’s an impossibility.

Exactly. But even though Cruz is less known, he still beats HRC. Conversely, Trump, who is known by just about everyone, can't seem to beat her. And he fares even worse against Bernie. His disapproval numbers are extraordinary at 60%, which is the highest percentage of any candidate ever recorded, if we can believe the news reports. Even HRCs are "only" 52%.

Sounds good - if only one could count on the Republicans in the Congress to actually represent the People. Funny how we point out their treachery at every step and then want to "nobly" rely on them all of a sudden.

There needs to be a stepping stone to get us back to where our "representatives" actually feel inclined to act as they talk when up for election....
