The National Archives, for the first time ever, released a list of documents related to the assassination that are still shielded from public view.
More than five decades after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, thousands of government files detailing the activities and testimony of shadowy spies, long-deceased witnesses and others with possible knowledge of the events remain shielded from public view.
The government gave a first-ever peek at what's still out there Thursday, as the National Archives released a list of the 3,063 documents that have been "fully withheld" since JFK's murder in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963.
The documents listed - released in response to a Freedom of Information Act request from POLITICO, other news organizations and researchers - were collected by the Assassination Records Review Board, an independent panel created by the 1992 JFK Records Act.

He may well have put the kabosh on the "Great Society" socialism in the works.
Picking up laundry
“He shot him from that book suppository, sir!”
JFK assassinated JFK with an M16 and vanished into another timeline.
Well, you know that he was deeply involved with the CIA, even at that time, eventually rising to be the Director, and the CIA were the ones that were abandoned by JFK at The Bay of Pigs, so the conspiracy kinda writes itself.
Barack Obama is the Lizard-King, Say 12 Million Americans

Geez folks, get real. We all know the aliens from Rosewell killed him because they were jealous of Marylin Monroe and she was secretly sleeping with Kruschev and gave JFk the info on nukes in Cuba.
So simple! /he he
“Iâve waited over 50 years to see this stuff. Itâs time to release it! Keeping it still secret â what difference does it make? Unless it implicated someone and it alters history and effects the legacies of politicians who kept it hidden.”
This is a list of documents scheduled for release in Oct 17.
Not that releasing all these documents would make a big difference. Those that believe in conspiracies will insist that the government is still not releasing all the information.
So I suppose my original point may stand.
Even with the release of new info, we may never know everything.
Who says he's stayed under the radar? I've had my eye on him for decades.
And there are others ...
Excellent. Thanks.
They announced it over the PA system at our school and then told us to go to the busses and go on home early. I remember the day of the funeral everybody watched it on TV almost all day.
No, Lon would have shot Jackie. But only if she had John John in her lap.
Others?...**gulp**
Hey, I was only in the 7th grade and 1500 miles away, I swear!
Maybe he shot Oswald to be sure he never talked about who was really behind it all.
How did you catch on??? No, I was NOT mowing the grassy knoll...That was....uhhhh....someone else....
My Dad, a staunch life-long conservative, maintained that getting plugged was the best thing that ever happened to Kennedy.
Instead of washing out after one term, he became a martyr.
You know....Nobody ever mentions or talks about J.D. Tippet.....
I thought it was common knowledge by now that the cigarette-smoking man shot JFK from a storm drain.
