Super-EMP Missile Launch Window Approaches: ...
SHTFPlan.com ^ | 4 Feb 2016 | Jeremiah Johnson

As of this writing, North Korea intends to launch another Unha-3 rocket, or a larger and more efficient version in a launch window falling between 8 – 25 February. This launch follows on the heels of a nuclear test conducted by North Korea on January 6, 2016, and the claim by Kim Jung-Un that the bomb was a hydrogen bomb. The MSM pundits and their positivist quacking "experts" all state the bomb was not a hydrogen bomb; however, experts such as Peter V. Pry disagree.

What was discussed by Dr. Pry was the intentionally low-yield weapon test that would have been optimal for a miniaturized EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) device, that range being 5-10 kilotons. I have cited Dr. Pry's work in previous articles and am thoroughly convinced of both his professionalism and his expertise. While the North Koreans claim this launch to be for the purpose of emplacing an earth observation satellite, there are differences in the rocket that satellite images have picked up. The images revealed a gantry that differs in size and design from previous Unha-3 launches. The latest attribution is that the rocket may be a Unha-9, the newest North Korean design that may include an 80-ton rocket booster.

The booster has been accomplished with the help of the Iranians. The U.S. Treasury department announced sanctions after proving that Iranians had been traveling to Pyongyang and indeed worked on such a project. In addition, this new launch has concealment procedures not used before by North Korea, such as a mobile sub-surface rail system to transport the missile directly to the gantry unobserved. The launch pad itself is shielded from view

They do decay, not in the inverse square, but they do decay. They also disperse. And as an electronic wave they get beat up by the ionosphere. The high altitude kill America EMP threat is pure lying fear mongering fantasy fiction BS. Period.

Look up the Starfish Prime testing.
It’s a very good read....

I know all about Starfish, if you get a non-sensationalist factual report on it it actually shows this “threat” is bogus. EMP just is not that strong.

Friend, I’m simply sharing facts where you are in error. I’m not arguing with you. The ionosphere has no impact on an EMP - the EMP is generated well below the ionosphere. A nuclear blast at high-altitude has a profound effect on the ionosphere though - but it has nothing to do with an EMP.

“The high altitude kill America EMP threat is pure lying fear mongering fantasy fiction BS. Period.”

It is not “pure lying fear mongering”. There are a lot of unknowns - and the impact of an EMP on modern infrastructure and electronics is unknown. I do not comment on “casualty” guesses - I’m simply stating facts and highlighting gaps in present understanding.

I’ve been mocking EMP alarmism for 20 years. In that NOBODY who ever actually had the job of planning to kill lots of people has EVER come out and said “yep we planned to use high altitude EMPs to disable large chunks of electronics”, and of course in that time NOBODY has attempted an EMP based attack an ANY altitude.

The facts are in, the “threat” is a lie.

” EMP just is not that strong.”

The evidence is overwhelmingly to the contrary of your belief.

Know all about it. And it clearly shows the “apocalypse” threat is way outside of the actual recorded behavior. The map at the top of the threads shows the whole country taking serious damage to their electronics, the real effect was minor inconveniences for a couple hundred miles. On a much weaker system than we have in place now.

It was in the Soviet War Plan to do exactly that.

No it isn’t. Post 58, when actually read from a NON-alarmist point of view, shows clearly that EMP is not that strong. It had a fraction of the range the alarmist predict, and a fraction of the damage. The evidence overwhelmingly shows the alarmists are liars.

EMP shots would be most effectively used to destroy civilian support around military installations before lower altitude shots and cratering shots are executed on the military installations. For terrorist nations and their intended targets, substitute builtup urban areas for military installations.

But it's true that nuclear exchanges would not cause the human race to be extinct.

Special political interests have been lying to us about the effects of nuclear weapons. Nuclear war is much more survivable than presented in their false scenarios! Have a look at the effects of one of the most powerful warheads--warheads that will not be used, because much smaller yields are much more practical (costs, delivery, concealment for mobiles, lack of extra effects with higher yields, etc.).

Which brings up another point. Back in the old days, when your engine coolant gauge, if you had one, broke, you could just ignore it. Today, when my coolant gauge malfunctions, it kills the engine, even if you are on a logging road up in the mountains.

Look at it like Y2K. There was a definite threat with a known unknown.

Friend, if you read the document in Post 58, it actually validates what I’ve been telling you. It adds the dimension of an EMP from a SURFACE blast - something you’ve obviously misunderstood to apply to a high-altitude. The Marines paper validates the threat, if you understand what he wrote. I am not an alarmist.

My position is we need to understand what an EMP will do to infrastructure - it will not be zero, and won’t be total - it will be in between.

The strength of an EMP is known, because it has been measured. It is significant and considered “strong” if we want to use your subjective term.

Read Longmire:
Longmire Theoretical Notes # 353 “EMP on Honolulu from the Starfish Event” (March 1985)

“We see that the amplitude of the EMP incident on Honolulu from the Starfish event was considerably smaller than what could be produced over the northern U.S. by more intense gamma fluxes. Therefore, one cannot conclude from what electrical and electronic damage did NOT occur in Honolulu that high-altitude EMP is not a serious threat.”

Longmire is “the man” on this effect. He figured it out analytically and then measured it in reality.

Yes, that was and is part of the plan. Remember my many posts over 10 years ago about Iran? Iran's leaders also repeatedly announced R&D for detonating EMP devices at high altitudes over the U.S.A.

“The existence of an EMP is proven physics, the idea that one nuke 300 miles up could wipe out America is fiction.”

Totally agree. This idea that EMP wipes out all thins electronic and electrical is nonsense and internet nerd talk. They all think they’ll survive something no one else can possible understand but them. it’s technical dontcha know. There may be some effects but not the end of civilization as we know it effects.
