This may be a little out there, and I am the first to admit that it is late, and I am a little tired, so please be kind. I want to ask any other freepers if they have ever had real supernatural experiences. I ask because I have been subjected to dozens of them. I sometimes think that I am living in a caricature of this world. I want to know if any others have gone through this.
First off, my originating experiences (ie. experienced by me directly) are pretty lame. But there have been a bunch of them. They are mostly confined to virtually impossible acts (such as passing my hand over and hitting random keys of a computer keyboard and entering the correct 10 character security code, or transmitting thoughts directly into my intended audience- to hilarious results). However, I have been fated to know other people with, frankly, extraordinary abilities.
One was my first wife. Her grandmother (who practiced Santeria and kept chicken feet in a glass of water under the bed to ward off evil spirits) always said that all she wanted was to see (my wife) get married. She made a 3,000 mile bus trip, went to our wedding, and was dead less than 12 hours after the wedding. But that is not the weird part. The weird part was that at the moment of my wife's grandmother's death, my wife, who was 400 miles away, woke up from a dead sleep (our wedding night) and started screaming and sobbing and carrying on in a language I did not know. I calmed her as best I could, and told her I would phone home in the morning (it was the middle of the night).
I called my father the next morning, and he reluctantly told me that the grandmother had passed the night before at the exact time my new wife woke up and went crazy.
Fast forward 20 years. My now ex-first wife called me up out of the blue (I hadn't spoken to her in at least 5 years at that point) and told me that my mom had just passed. She told me of a vision of hope and joy, but I was baffled by it all. The next morning I received calls from relatives that my mom in fact had died just when the ex told me she had.I have had several other acquaintances who also have demonstrated extraordinary abilities. I really ought to write a book about all of them.
Here is my question: I cannot be the only person who has experienced phenomena like this. From resurrections to deer inhabited by the spirits of the departed to jokes that transcend humor, surely other people have seen these things. So, i am asking for your stories. That we live in a supernatural world is, to me, undeniable.
I hope to get to the point of having control over it like you. I can’t help but wonder if it could be used to settle into a great dream rather than the worst of nightmares. Saying to my mind, replace that image (thought) with being completely at peace and feeling no pain. I think a large part of mine is pain partially waking me. At times, like this past night, I just have to give up on getting any sleep because of it. I might try to dream of ice packs instead of ice picks next time. ;-)
The first MG that was widely sold in the country was the TC model. It had a boxy body and thin spindly wire wheels almost like bicycle wheels.
An automotive writer described it as a “coffin riding on four harps”.

(After reading about your husband’s green man, I’m going to try to make my dude a lavender color next time. With a pink tutu and silver tiara. And one of those Granny purses with big flowers on it instead of a tool kit. And he’ll be offering me blueberry cheesecake while he’s tending the laundry. Yeah, that’s the ticket.)
Happens all the time.
It is the domain of the spirit.
God originally made man with a body, soul, and spirit.
After the Garden of Eden, man is born separated from God as lacking a human spirit. Things of the spirit are no longer perceptible to us until we return to God on His terms.
There do exist spiritual persons. Angels are very real. There are fallen and elect angels. At present, we are engaged in essentially an appeals trial of Satan and the fallen angels appealing their condemnation to the Lake of Fire.
Angels have the ability to influence the physical domain and the soulish domain. In regard to the soul, while we are unbelievers, they also have the ability to possess the soul. This is what occurs in demon possession.
Just because this is possible, doesn’t mean all evil is caused by the devil. Humans also have volition and most evil we observe is controllable by humans.
Christianity, Judaism, and Islam all acknowledge the existence of angels. We also know there are fallen and elect angels. They’ve been around for millenia.
Study the Bible, the Holy Spirit, the human spirit from Scripture, and let God handle the situation through faith in Christ.
I don’t know about this one, maybe just coincidence. I’ve never told this story before.
My father lived out his last years in a retirement village with his second wife, who he loved dearly.
He passed away about a month before 9/11 and his wife passed a few days later. I’m glad they both missed that.
I was at their apartment not long after with the sad task of taking care of things. I had just sat down to take a brief rest, and as I sat there quietly, the door to the hallway opened, and cool air flooded into the apartment.
There was no one at the door.
Now, maybe the door just wasn’t latched completely, and maybe the cool air was just the air conditioning in the hallway coming in.
Or maybe my father wanted to make sure that everything was being taken care of and he just stopped by to reassure himself, and to reassure me as well.
The first time that happened at the grandparents house the lights were on.
I've wondered though why is it always shadow people and never a dog or a cat or anything else..
