Ten years ago Monday, Al Gore said we had only a decade left to save the planet from global warming. But Earth has been doing just fine. Why do we listen to this man?
While preening at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2006 during the premiere of his "An Inconvenient Truth" fib-umentary, Gore made his grand declaration. The former vice president said, in the words of the AP reporter taking down his story, that "unless drastic measures to reduce greenhouse gases are taken within the next 10 years, the world will reach a point of no return." In Gore's own words, he claimed we were in "a true planetary emergency."
Ten years later, he's probably hoping that everyone has forgotten about his categorical statement.
The terrible truth for Gore is that there is no planetary emergency. Not one of the dire predictions he and the rest of the alarmist community made has come to pass. In fact, there is plenty of evidence that they have been running a racket. Here's how we know:
One, Earth hasn't warmed in nearly 20 years. Yes, 2015 supposedly "smashed" the previous temperature record. But actually it was the third-warmest year on record -- or maybe "not even close to the hottest year on record," says James Taylor of the Heartland Institute.
The global average temperature, a devilish thing to determine anyway, depends on what temperature readings are being used and who is "adjusting" the data to fit their political purposes. The scientific community cannot be trusted to provide honest numbers. And 2015 was, after all, an El Nino year. Higher temperatures, with no link to man's activities, were expected.

The reason you know global warming is a scam is this. None of those who are telling us how bad global warming will be is proposing any programs that would limit global warming to the levels they say is necessary. The programs they are pushing would, at most, limit global warming to a few tenths of a degree centigrade. Yet they are saying unless we adopt their programs, the earth will warm by many times that amount. If global warming is as serious as they say it is, then why aren’t they pushing programs that will prevent warming?

Gore was expecting to be a gazillionaire from his global warming fraud before the 10 years had passed.

The Gore Tax, thanks for the reminder, I think.
I seem to recall that he owned the company that was going to be in charge of trading carbon credits. That would be very lucrative. Imagine owning the New York Stock Exchange.
Al will argue that we’ve now been saved from disaster, because 40,000 bureaucrats took “drastic measures” a couple of months ago in Paris — just in the nick of time.
And don’t forget, that also will take care of ISIS.
If the temperature starts high at 12:01 am, but continually drops by 6 am and then holds, is it warmer than a day that starts low but warms up all day long?
Peak temperatures don't tell you anything, except what the temperature was for an indetermined instant.
The amount of heat at peak for one minute, is not the same as the same temperature for 2 hours.
Spend any time in the mountains, you can watch temperatures go up and down 3 or 4 times in a day.
Is a 60 second snapshot indicative of the heat of that entire day?
A new twist on throwing virgins into volcanoes to able eruptions....that’s all. Old racket.

there’s only one way that is needed to know that he’s running a scam-
Just 0.00136& of our atmosphere is CO2 due to man- end of story- 0.00136% of our atmosphere is not physically capable of capturing enough escaping heat to back radiate it to earth at a fraction of that amount to cause global climate change- period- Can’t happen- not enough CO2 to do what these LIARS are claiming
As a dedicated liar, gore will just reply that the world took his advice and enacted the necessary changes to improve the planet’s health, so the 10-year deadline no longer applies. He’ll actually take credit for his lie being exposed as a lie.
