REALITY: I Personally Know a Guy Who Was Ripped-Off by Trump for a 7-figure Amount...

He stressed that Donald Trump was never to be trusted,
for the man operates utterly devoid of principle
What happened is the NY attorney I know -and his lawyer sister- had done business with Trump, and in fact had all but won a case for him that resulted in a substantial cash settlement, to which the attorneys where contractually entitled to their % cut once the lawsuit was done. In this particular circumstance, the fee was to be over a million dollars, and it wasn't the first time they had worked with The Donald.
So when it all fell their way, Trump suddenly overnight fires these attorneys who brought him to victory's doorway so he wouldn't have to pay them the
% fee rightfully due them... then he hired some schlubbs who worked for a low hourly wage to do the paperwork and wrap up the already in-the-bag case.
Ever the ruthless opportunist, Trump found a hole in the contract he did with my friend, that the deal allowed them to be fired -for zero cause- and paid an hourly pittance for their work up to that point... totally violating the spirit of the contract, what a scumbag. He offered no explanation, and afterwards would not return their calls. 'Art of the Deal' indeed~
I was told this story back in 2012, when starting to flirt with the idea of giving Trump a little support on my site. The (conservative, registered Republican) lawyer friend -a man I trust utterly- went on to tell me the above story, adding that Trump simply didn't have the principles to hold such a powerful position, and that it would probably be better for us all if he just stayed in the real estate business and screwed people over there.
You can now see this shocking lack of principle in Trump's disingenuous and dishonest attacks on Ted Cruz... seems my friend was right all along.
Trump obviously can't compete with Cruz on the issues- and he couldn't make that any more apparent than with his current deplorable behavior.

“Isnât it funny how all the Trump bots come after me, Iâm a loser blogger, etc...”
ALL? When did I “come after you” in my response to libblu’s comments? Did I demean you in any way when I stated my reasons for supporting Trump? In this same thread, however, you have used the following words to describe me;
Trump bot
cult-like
Hitleresque
Frankly I get the same pejoratives from my liberal friends when they get stuck for a response. Seems they also demonize people who don’t agree with them. Are these the sort you really want to emulate?

There can be a great difference between doing what is legally right, and what is morally right. A rich man can start a company, an LLC (Limited Liability Corporation). That rich person can make some bad decisions, leaving the company broke. The rich person can then file for bankruptcy, stiffing all the people to whom he owes money, who loaned him money based on his personal reputation. These people loose, while the rich man, who has more than enough reserves, to pay them back, wins.
This may be legally correct, but is it morally correct? It is Donald Trump, at least three times over.

Since your lawyer friend seems to be a public figure so to speak, give us his name so we can do some research on him to see if his story is credible. If you are unwilling to come up with credible info about this story, I would suggest you ask the mods to delete it because as of now it is nothing but slanderous second hand BS.

This is actually a very common story with Trump. It is a tendency on public display as well. At the first opportunity we see Trump yell, “And don’t pay them. I’m not paying! Oh, and take his coat.”
He is unscrupulous dealer. The art of the deal? Steal.

There is a reason it’s called a limited liability company. People who do business with a limited liability company are on notice that they are relying only on the assets of the company. If they are not willing to take that risk they need to get a personal guaranty from your rich guy. The whole business world understands this. Some folks gamble and lose.

So said every supporter of a dictator that was originally elected democratically. “I know he is bad, but he will cut off the head of my enemies.”
While I share your anger with the GOPe, revenge voting is dangerous.

Sounds like your friend should have had a more carefully-drawn contract, but if this is true it’s pretty sleazy.
Just because you can do something, it doesn’t mean you should.

They need to hire a competent attorney who can draft up a contingent fee agreement for them.

I sincere hope if Cruz wins as you hope that he isn’t as rabid and nasty as those supporters of his here. While I would vote for Cruz, his supporters especially you make me want to run the other way!

OH, one more thing. If you had told this story and inserted the name Cruz instead of Trump, my reaction would be exactly the same. If you got facts and can back them up with names and places by all means, tell us about it. I was a Cruz supporter for many months since 2014, now I support Trump but you will not see me post BS stories about Cruz just because he is no longer my candidate. So, enough of this juvenile story telling unless you can back it up with facts and names.

SORRY Libbylu, that just sounds like desperate hyperbole. It says much more about you and your emotional state, then Trump.

Pretty obvious Trump knows how to make deals and win. The so-called “attorney’s” must have been pretty incompetent if what the author wrote is true. I would probably have fired them as well. Must have been a pretty “cut and dried” case if they won.
