Friendly advice, Donald, and I do mean friendly...(from Mark Levin)

Either cut the crap - your accusations this morning that Cruz is Canadian, a criminal, owned by big banks, etc. (see link below) - or you will lose lots and lots of conservatives. Save the liberal New York City bully tactics for the New York City liberals. Put down your computer keyboard for a few hours, think before you tweet, and collect yourself. You're not politically invincible, regardless of the polls and media. I am already hearing more and more people getting fed up with the low road you're taking against Cruz, which has obviously intensified this morning. You don't need to attack his honor or attempt to smear his reputation. You can leave that to Mitch McConnell and the New York Times. Engage on real and substantive issues that matter to the country. Like I said, my friendly advice.

They were factually accurate.

In order to do business past a certain level in America you have to grease palms everywhere. That is just the way it is. That does not mean however that you agree with the people. It means that you will not be in business very long if you do not spread the cash.

Fox News has been donating millions to Hillary for years. Fox realizes it has to for access and in case she wins. You can already see a huge change in attitude with the media towards Trump. They realize he could win so they have to be real nice for access.

American business is same.

Whatever your politics makes no difference to me. Cruz has taken millions from gay businessmen and from NY hedge funds. The gay businessmen probably do not agree with him on gay issues but they realize they may need him for access and Cruz needs money and he may not agree with the gay businessmen but he needs their money.

So then you asked :”Were they wrong when they said Trump wrote checks to help Hillary and other Democrats?” no they were not wrong when they said this.

But then you have to ask if Cruz was wrong for accepting millions from gay businessmen? Does he have a double standard in the same way you think Trump has a double standard? Or was Cruz wrong in accepting $11 million from a New York hedge fund with “New York” values? For whatever reason the hedge funds feels the need to donate $11 million because it wants something from Cruz. The hedge fund is doing what Trump did when he was acting as a businessman.

The hedge fund people may not agree with Cruz on a lot of things but for some reason it feels the need to give him $11 million for some very strong reason.

I honestly do not think I could do business with anyone at that level because it would feel to me like I’d be doing business with the devil but that is simply the way it is and it makes vetting your candidate a little more difficult that at first attempt.

Mark is conservative so it’s easy to guess whose side he’s on.

I believe voters wanting the most conservative candidate are with Cruz.

Voters more interested in a nominee that can win general are with Trump.

Trump will never lose support with voters already committed to him.

2nd choice of most who will drop out is Cruz.

Rubio Trump Cruz will be finalists.

What you take is irrelevant because you do not receive with intention. You cannot control who gives to you.
What you give shows intention.

I disagree that you cannot control who gives to you. You can say no and not take what is given!

Mark is exactly right. These Twitter rants Trump made this morning (and others) makes him look childish. If Trump thinks that Cruz supporters are going to jump the Cruz ship and start supporting Trump, he is sorely mistaken. I know several people who supported Trump until recently because of his comments about other candidates. Not saying that they all now support Cruz but they no longer support Trump.

I have to agree with Levin. I’ve written Trump twice warning him to pull some punches on Ted. He’s going to Ted as a running mate to pull in some conservative purists who don’t understand this election is totally about immigration.

But giving shows intent. It is purposeful. How much did Cruz give to Hillary?

At my little county Repub monthly today I welcomed three who were leaning Trump into the Cruz fold. The bad mouthed rant about a stupid microphone, and the attack against Cruz at the debate finally helped them see the light. From my perspective Levin is correct.

I have a feeling if the primaries don't stay in his favor Trump is fixing to go scorched earth on Cruz and the Conservative base then suddenly have business interest he needs to go tend too. Opening the door for whom? GOP-E darlings Rubio and Jebthro.

I don't trust Trump. I didn't trust him before this election was on the radar scope. His actions on stage make me trust him less. I believe in reality he is secretly still closer politically to Bloomberg/DeBlasio than Cruz and it will eventually come out. His history in whom he supports previously points more in that direction as well. Cruz isn't perfect but we'd know more certain what we are getting based on his record.

Since I got here, there were a couple of things I noticed. The first is no commentator endorses a candidate in the primaries. They may say who has the best chance, but rarely do they come right out and say it. The other thing I noticed is polling is almost always skewed or manipulated by the media.

Is it possible that Trump really isn’t at 40% which is why other candidates are staying in? Pretty much everyone here realizes that if the candidate isn’t a conservative, republicans won’t win. Could this be the medias way to get another RINO as a candidate? And Trump is a RINO, regardless of what anyone here says.

He is a populist and will be good for the country.

There are many on here who admit that Trump is not, not has he ever been, a conservative. They just don’t care, they think that he will carry enough Dem votes to win the election but never seem to wonder why so many Dems would want to vote for him. My personal opinion is that there would be a great gnashing of teeth and rending of garments after Trump was in office for three or four months.

I would rather have Cruz, who I know will get enough Conservative votes to carry the election. People don’t want squish.
