Why are we turning away teens and kids who only dream of living in a free world?
In response to the attacks in Paris, world leaders are taking another look at their refugee and immigration policies for those hailing from conflicted regions, like Syria. French president François Hollande has declared the country under a state of emergency after the attacks on his capital left 129 people dead. This means that he has put in place curfews, launched countless raids violating the civil liberties of Parisians, and closed all of their borders.
The emergency measures â which have historically been used to oppress the Muslim community â are a recipe for disaster. For instance, closing Franceâs borders does more to harm the national security of the country than protect it. It also increases the risks of human trafficking, and leaves France with absolutely no records of individuals entering the country. Official refugees on the other hand, go under a very extensive vetting process and leave a very long and official paper trail. But more importantly, as many pundits have pointed out, the Paris attacks should make the Western world more understanding and accepting of Syrian refugees, not more afraid. Most of them are escaping the precise horror that Paris felt on Friday; except for them, mass shootings and suicide bombers are a regular thing....

Of the 10,000 potential sites that you could attribute information for posting purposes....Teen Vogue is probably not on my list. I would put them at the same level as Fantasy Railroading, or Barbering Trends.
No problem, teen vogue, let them stay at your house. Kindly give them your address and we will escort them there.
The diety that they worship says they should kill me. But....that’s okay, eh?
Whoever wrote this drivel is a moron.
And why has the rape of Muslim and European women by “refugees” risen to epidemic proportions in Europe...?
I am canceling my Teen Vogue subscription.
Sticks and stones - we don’t care what you call us. We learned all the playground jingo - “Sticks and stones will break my bones/ but words can never hurt me.” Evidently the college students these days did not learn that. And we will NOT deny reality. We don’t want to INVITE ISIS into our country. Duh.
Of course it is. Yawn. I’m beginning to think that’s the only word liberals know and half the time when they use it the ymean “Is there coffee?” or “Where’s the bathroom?”
Sarah Harvard is a twenty something Muslim female who aspires to being a ‘journalist’. Her articles are self-portraitures drawn from the disparity between her personal desire for love and acceptance, and her refusal to accept the realities of terror. On a level, it’s endearing she could be so inanely naive. On a deeper plane, she’s engaged in emotional masturbation for the benefit of tweens ill equipped to understand what they are witnessing. It would be best if she refrained from doing it in public.
“Shut up”, she explained.
I B Racis’, at you service.
Teen Vogue? Who cares?
“The Hatred Toward the Syrian Refugees Is Racist”
Gee, I had no idea that “Syrian” is a race! But I get it, I really do: either you and/or your readers are too ignorant to know what a big word like “xenophobic” means, so it’s simply more efficient to incorrectly use a popular hot-button word like “racist” to induce the proper sob-sister emotional response in your dimwitted readers.
Syrians are Caucasian.
Islam is not a race.
See tagline.
Please tell me this is satire... Please. They just can’t be this naive.
“Some magazine aimed at teenage girls is supposed to be some faunt of wisdom on these issues???”
Like, TOTALLY!!! /s;)
Bite me, honey. I’m becoming a proud racist if that is what it takes to keep our country safe.
Sarah Harvar:
I was born in the United States, and this is the place I call home. However, I won’t apologize for being an oppressor, because I refuse to become a victim. I refuse to become a victim of constant scapegoating by ignorant xenophobes. I refuse to become a victim of the false assumption that Islam and its followers are believers in violence. And if they ask me again why I won’t apologize, I’ll tell them to ask the hippos in the Congo Delta to apologize for the South Asian Tsunami.
@sarah_harvard: The same people sneering at college students wanting a safe space, are demanding to have one the size of this country from #SyrianRefugees.
