Donald Trump said Thursday that Ben Carson's self-described "pathological temper" is incurable -- adding that it's like the sickness of a "child molester."
"It's in the book that he's got a pathological temper," Trump told "Erin Burnett OutFront," speaking about Carson's autobiography. "That's a big problem because you don't cure that ... as an example: child molesting. You don't cure these people. You don't cure a child molester. There's no cure for it. Pathological, there's no cure for that."
In his 1990 autobiography, "Gifted Hands," Carson attributes violent behavior in his youth to his "disease," a "pathological temper" that the Republican presidential hopeful said caused him to strike one friend with a rock and attempt to stab another. In subsequent accounts of his violent youth, Carson said he once attempted to attack his mother with a hammer.
"I'm not bringing up anything that's not in his book," Trump told Erin Burnett. "You know, when he says he went after his mother and wanted to hit her in the head with a hammer, that bothers me. I mean, that's pretty bad. When he says he's pathological -- and he says that in the book, I don't say that -- and again, I'm not saying anything, I'm not saying anything other than pathological is a very serious disease. And he said he's pathological, somebody said he has pathological disease."

“hammering him”— I saw what you did there...
What isn’t defensible about it?
All he did was compare something that he believes isn’t curable to something that he believes isn’t curable.
It’s not like he called Carson a child molester.
He said Carson has an incurable anger problem. Maybe he does, maybe he doesn’t.
I’ll say this. In my time on this earth it has become apparent to me that a particular type of human being seem more predisposed to violence than other types.
It makes me wonder if it’s genetic.
Should I be ashamed of myself for wondering that?
A lot of people have trouble understanding analogies — it’s why they were removed from the SAT when they dumbed it down. Trump may be overestimating the intelligence of a lot of people in this case.
There are "branches" of SDA now? If they uphold their list of "Fundamentals," then they affirm Ellen White to be an authoritative prophet, and thus reject the Trinity through her. Read here for SDA theologians speaking about the subject of what SDA actually believe about the Trinity:

Overcoming a history of violence or not, shouldn’t anybody have pause regardless if they claim to have been rehabilitated if they admit to trying to stab somebody or going after one’s mother with a hammer?
Even for Trump’s unchecked loud mouth, this takes it too far.
It was only a matter of time before he’d start doing himself in.
You have quite a fixation there. One might even describe it as pathological.
“He would be willing to send my son off to die somewhere while he would not have to guts to do it himself.”
And Trump’s active military service dates are...?
I would not let a person who tried to attack his mother with a hammer to operate on my child’s brain... I would also disqualify him as someone I could vote for to be president.. I apologize for expecting more from a candidate than that...
He went to “military school”.
maybe I am pathological in my focus on Carson’s attack on his mother with a hammer.. but I am not running for president...
Good point. Maybe 50+ years of success at being a mature adult would help with the pause one feels over the story. If that doesn’t do it, then maybe the problem isn’t with Carson.
Why would Jesus’ race present a problem for anyone? He most likely wasn’t the blue-eyed Euro depicted in Western culture.
Disregard my last.
Not all churches of any denomination adhere to doctrine.
Yep.. wasn’t he in a band once, too?
Donald baby, your fifteen minutes are up. Go away.
Have we heard whether Carson takes medication for his “temper”?
Was Trump inartful? Absolutely. But you’re missing the point about his remarks
