A lot of people have trouble understanding analogies — it’s why they were removed from the SAT when they dumbed it down. Trump may be overestimating the intelligence of a lot of people in this case.

It reminds me of the left describing pedophiles as being “able to change” while homosexuals are “born that way”. They say this only because they don’t want the child molesters going to prison.
Before homosexuality was decriminalized, and then removed from the APA list of psychological disorders, the `rats made the same argument for homos.
Of course, once the pervert enablers get the law changed so pedophiles can legally court our small children, then they will be described as ... having been born that way.

Like psychopathology subjects, say a `Dexter Morgan’ and sociopathology study subjects, e.g. Barack Obama, people with pathologically violent tempers exhibiting as a neurosis are, well—the condition can be treated with chemicals but that’s who they are, whether they manage to control it outwardly or find Jesus or whatever gets them through the night.
